january favorites

This month I rekindled my love for the color pink and I continued my love for all things cozy. Pink has always been my favorite color but believe or not, I only have about three articles of clothing in my fall/winter wardrobe that are pink. Who says you can't wear pink year round?! Many stores don't sell bright colors this time of year so thank goodness for Lilly Pulitzer! I was also able to find this scarf with a pop of pink. Bright colors and cozy layers make me happy!

currently loving

I am currently loving keychains and bag charms! They are such an easy and fun way to make an old bag feel new again. I also love keychains because it helps you spot your keys in your bag much quicker... especially the pom pom clips! I just ordered that $5 tassel keychain- I couldn't resist the pop of hot pink! Which one is your favorite?!

6d hair ties

Even with short hair, I always keep a hair tie on hand {or around my wrist} just in case I need to pull my hair back. 6D Hair Ties sent me a package of tons of fun hair ties to get my hair out of my face and they are super cute! I was able to make a custom hair tie with the logo of the non-profit after school program I work at on them. I plan to share them with my co-workers! You can literally customize them however you want for any occasion. I also received gold + silver headband ties that are perfect for the gym or really anytime. Be sure to check out all of their fun options!

classics

When it comes to style, there's really nothing more classic than a camel pea coat, a black tunic, and leopard heels! These are three staples that aren't trendy and will always be in style. I like to invest in items that I know I can wear for many years, not just this season.

My black tunic is on sale for only $25 + free shipping and it comes in other colors as well. It runs true to size. I have worn mine so much and it's such a versatile piece that can be dressed up or dressed down. Classic and versatile is a must!

P.S. Heels on ice/snow really wasn't my smartest idea ever but the good news is that I did not crash. Now that's a win!

sunday snaps

#sundaysnaps | week in review

On Monday, I officially became a Jeep owner! I've literally always wanted a Jeep since I was a teenager. I got a 2016 Jeep Compass! It's smaller than my previous vehicle but it's way better on gas, has more fun bell + whistles, and did I mention it's a Jeep?! So excited for my new mommy mobile!

One of the craziest parts of my new vehicle purchase is that neither Josh or I test drove it before we bought it! Oops! He drove a different Jeep and loved it. We got so excited over the Compass that we didn't even drive it before saying we wanted to buy it. This picture is from my first drive in the new ride and the good news is, I love driving it!

I absolutely love this mother's necklace from R&E Avenue. It's hand stamped with my babies' names on it!

The snow + ice hit North Carolina Friday morning so that means a few days at home with nothing to do do but eat, snuggle, organize, and decorate! I love how these Target wreath looks with my red front door.

Saturday morning we woke up to a couple inches of snow on top of the ice from the day before so it was perfect weather for some sledding. We bundled up and borrowed our neighbors' sleds for a little fun. We didn't last long though; it was soooo cold!

I have loved being snowed/iced in with my family but I was more than excited to finally get out of the house today! We hit up Wal-Mart {pure madness}, Marshalls, La Hacienda for dinner, and Dunkin' Donuts for a half dozen. It was a fun little outing and I'm thankful to be back home, safe and warm watching the Panthers with my family. I hope you all had an amazing week!

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
    his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.
Lamentations 3:22-23

make a wish list

Being a "fashion blogger" I post a lot of things I like or things I already have. Sometimes it's tempting to what to purchase items that I don't necessarily need at all. To keep myself in check, I always create a wish list of things that I would like to have. I am never going to actually purchase them all but it keeps me from buying other things that I don't really love. Impulse shopping gets me in trouble and I typically regret my purchases because they weren't thoroughly planned out. I've literally had some of these items on my list for months! I'm trying to narrow down my favorite item for this month's wish list purchase.

What should I pick!? And what's on your wish list?!
