sunday snaps

#sundaysnaps | week in review

Julianna's school celebrated Read Across America this week with fun Dr. Suess themes each day. This day was crazy hair day and we nailed it! She looked so cute!

My mom uniform... flowy tops, jeans, and Converses. I love this gorgeous cardigan from Nella Boutique

What's a trip to the petting zoo without a goat selflie?! Lol. And p.s. no animals were harmed in the making of this silly selfie.

Olivia got sick last weekend so our first stop Monday morning was the doctor's office. She ended up having strep so she missed school. But on the bright side, we got to spend some extra time together and found these pretty tulips while we were picking up medicine.

This bag had to be included in my week review because it my favorite recent purchase. I love the colorful tassels!

Even God loves Pantone's colors of the year... serenity and rose quartz! I love my Japanese cherry blossom tree.

The girls had so much fun on our STEM Saturday field trip to the science center. Olivia got herself stuck in this stump and yelled for me to come over to take a picture of her. She's such a silly girl!

Josh plays on an indoor soccer league with some men from church and Friday night was their first game of the season. They never actually won a game in the past couple of years but we all have a great time at the games... including the girls!

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

I absolutely LOVE fresh flowers. I don't always buy them but when they match your shoes, you take a picture with them.

Olivia had Circus Day at preschool this week. She had her face painted like a butterfly and she looked too cute!

Before I was a my mom, I never drank coffee. Almost six years into motherhood, it's one of my very best friends. I have at least two cups a day to keep me moving.

This girl is way too big to ride in the top of the cart but it was fun pretending she was little for a just a little while. I can't believe Julianna will be six soon!

Baby girl hasn't been feeling well this weekend. She's been running a fever off and on with no other major symptoms. Praying she's good as new tomorrow!

Old Navy was having a great sale so I picked up a few items that I have been wanting for awhile. I always wait for a sale to snag the items I want from there. I had to have this cozy sweatshirt!

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.

#sundaysnaps | week in review

Both of the girls were out of school on Monday so we stayed home all day and I worked on my never ending to do list. By Tuesday morning, I had cabin fever! After I dropped Julianna off at school, Olivia and I headed to our favorite local spot to share some breakfast.

These girls truly are best friends and love to play together! They fight a lot too but after all, they are sisters!

pink converses, mom style
My mom uniform this week! I lived in denim, cozy sweaters, and colorful shoes. I love my new pink Converses

Those blue eyes are just too beautiful and I never would have dreamed that I would have a blue eyed child!

coffee corner
I updated my little coffee corner for Easter with pops of color and my trusty bunny jar from Target.

Saturday afternoon I got to take a solo shopping trip to Target and Old Navy. It was nice to have some me time, sip my butterscotch latte, and not fuss at anyone for misbehaving. #momvacation

short hair style, inverted bob, baylayage
I also got my hair done this weekend and I love how the color turned out! I went darker again and I'm so happy with it. I still have blonde highlights and the cut is an inverted bob. Love it!

that which we have seen and heard we proclaim also to you, so that you too may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father and with his Son Jesus Christ. And we are writing these things so that our joy may be complete.

sunday snaps

#sundaysnaps | week in review

I've been slacking on my Sunday Snaps! Oops. Our past two Sunday evenings have been busy so that's why. But I'm back with six snapshots of this past week. I hope you have all had a Happy Valentine's Day!

Julianna celebrated her 100th day of kindergarten on Monday. To celebrate they dressed up as 100 year olds!

How fun in this t-shirt from my friend Julie at Initially Obsessed?! More about her shop coming tomorrow!

Olivia got to help prepare and give out her very first Valentine's this year. She was such a good helper and picked out lollipop rings for her preschool friends.

I put together these Valentine gifts for Julianna's teachers. The reusable cups were filled with candy and the handmade coffee cozies are from Momma Sweet Pea Crochet

I wore this sweater on Thursday AND Saturday... I love it that much! It's so cozy and I love the feminine details! It's currently on sale for 25% off with the code PRES. It fits true to size and I'm wearing a small for reference. I may or may not have ordered the cream color too...

This morning I woke up to these sweet surprises from my Valentine. He is such a good listener and he even reads my blog. I randomly mentioned that I wanted chocolate covered strawberries and he surprised me with them. He also read my Valentine's wish list post and saw how much I loved these pink Converses. He's my best friend and biggest fan. So thankful for his love, each and everyday!

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

sunday snaps

#sundaysnaps | week in review

On Monday, I officially became a Jeep owner! I've literally always wanted a Jeep since I was a teenager. I got a 2016 Jeep Compass! It's smaller than my previous vehicle but it's way better on gas, has more fun bell + whistles, and did I mention it's a Jeep?! So excited for my new mommy mobile!

One of the craziest parts of my new vehicle purchase is that neither Josh or I test drove it before we bought it! Oops! He drove a different Jeep and loved it. We got so excited over the Compass that we didn't even drive it before saying we wanted to buy it. This picture is from my first drive in the new ride and the good news is, I love driving it!

I absolutely love this mother's necklace from R&E Avenue. It's hand stamped with my babies' names on it!

The snow + ice hit North Carolina Friday morning so that means a few days at home with nothing to do do but eat, snuggle, organize, and decorate! I love how these Target wreath looks with my red front door.

Saturday morning we woke up to a couple inches of snow on top of the ice from the day before so it was perfect weather for some sledding. We bundled up and borrowed our neighbors' sleds for a little fun. We didn't last long though; it was soooo cold!

I have loved being snowed/iced in with my family but I was more than excited to finally get out of the house today! We hit up Wal-Mart {pure madness}, Marshalls, La Hacienda for dinner, and Dunkin' Donuts for a half dozen. It was a fun little outing and I'm thankful to be back home, safe and warm watching the Panthers with my family. I hope you all had an amazing week!

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;
    his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
    great is your faithfulness.

Big sunglasses and a cute hat were essential items for a sunny + cold North Carolina day.

My mug cabinet is ever changing. My newest mug is the one in the middle; God bless this hot mess. I found it at Marshalls and I just had to have it!

When your three year old asks you to come cuddle on the couch with her, you drop everything and do it.

On Fridays, Olivia has dance class and the teacher opened the doors so parents could observe their routines. Watching 2 and 3 year olds dance is pretty much the cutest thing ever.

This is what a wild Friday night looks like for us... shopping at Wal-Mart! My husband will do anything to make these pretty girls smile.

My kiddos have never really liked pancakes until recently. As crazy as it sounds, they would both cry when I made them for breakfast! Now they request them. That's a mom victory in my book.

Saturday evening we got to celebrate our friends' birthdays. I love watching our girls interact with each other. They have the best time... and so do we!

I can do all things through him who strengthens me.

sunday snaps

#sundaysnaps | week in review

Julianna's parent observation night was Tuesday and she made us so proud with her amazing skills! Our girl is a natural ballerina.

The week before Christmas and 70 degrees, makes red lace up flats a necessity.

We had our staff Christmas party and put on our festive duds for the occasion! I love working with these amazing people.

Olivia had her Christmas express day at preschool this week and she got to wear her Christmas jammies to school. She had such a great time!

Olivia's parent observation night was on Friday and she is an amazing little tumbler. She's isn't a super graceful dancer but she has so much fun doing it and that's really all that matters.

We spent our Saturday shopping and eating out for dinner. This man is amazing dad and an awesome hubby. He is always such a trooper and I love him more than anything!

Saturday morning I broke my favorite Starbucks mug that I got for my birthday so we made a stop to get a new one since they were 30% off. We had to get a peppermint mocha while we were there. It tastes like Christmas in a cup to me!

Our last stop Saturday night was to ride through the neighborhoods to see the beautiful Christmas light balls. They were so pretty!

Tonight we went to the Denton Farm Park to take a ride on the Country Christmas Train and to visit Santa. This was our first ever successful Santa photo with both of our girls. They had a great time posing with Santa and tell him their wish lists.

Though you have not seen him, you love him. Though you do not now see him, you believe in him and rejoice with joy that is inexpressible and filled with glory.
