Personalized Beaded Bracelets

personalized name bracelets, handmade jewels, style on a budget, north carolina blogger, mom style

Happy Thursday! Today, I'm so excited to be sharing another beautiful bracelet set by Sarahndipity Jewelry! I shared about this affordable handmade fashion jewelry line last November in this post. Like I mentioned in that post, I love supporting small businesses because you are truly helping someone's dreams come true when you shop from them! I would much rather purchase a bracelets that was made uniquely by hand than mass produced any day.

A couple of weeks ago, Sarah posted these gorgeous personalized beaded bracelets on her Instagram account and I knew I had to have one (or three). Every since I was a little girl, I have always loved items with my name on them but I had a better idea for these handmade bracelets that can be customized. I wanted a set with the names of the three most special people in my life, my husband and my children. Sarah handcrafted these beautiful custom bracelets for me and I know they will be a treasure of mine for many years to come!

I styled my bracelets with distressed denim, a lavender blouse, leopard slingbacks, and my new favorite tote bag. I wear a ton of black and gold so these new bracelets will go with so much in my wardrobe! I love them so much!

Instagram Roundup

instagram roundup, mom style, north carolina blogger, outfit ideas

Hey y'all! I hope you're having a great week! Olivia and I had a great day yesterday! Her school has staggered start for kindergartners so she had the day off. Like I mentioned yesterday, I let her choose what she wanted to do for our day together and she picked Target. I love Target but I was also glad she picked an indoor activity because the weather yesterday was rainy and pretty chilly for August. We went to Target, Old Navy, Chipotle for lunch, made a Home Depot run, shopped for some new home decor at Kirkland (which has some amazing stuff right now), found a few goodies for me at Loft, and completed our outing with a visit to the pet store to peak at the puppies. I loved getting to spend one on one time with her! She heads back to kindergarten full time today and I'm going to miss her so much!

Today, I'm rounding up a few photos that I have recently shared over on Instagram. I'm also going to start including one or two photos that I've shared on my Instagram stories because those photos don't always end up on my regular feed but I often get lots of questions about where something was from.

Hair and Beauty Bag

hair and beauty, short hairstyle, shadowed root, balayage highlights, beauty on a budget

Happy Tuesday! I hope you are all having a great start to your week! The first day of school was a success and today is going to be great. Olivia doesn't go to school today since the other half of her kindergarten class starts today. So instead, she got to plan a day of fun for the two of us. I told her we could do anything she wanted and guess what she picked?! She asked to go to Target and eat at Chipotle for lunch. Haha and I'm excited about her picks!

Today, I'm sharing what's currently on rotation in my beauty bag and details about my current cut/color!

1. Cream Lip Stain | I shared this lip color in my last Currently Loving post. I discovered this product from a sample that Sephora sent me in the mail. I've worn it several times in my Instagram stories and I always get asked what color I'm wearing. The color is called Pink Tea and it looks fairly brown in the container but the color when it's applied is the prettiest neutral. It also lasts all day!

2. Powder Foundation | I have been using this powder for over a year and I still love it. I discovered it from an Influenster box and have continued to purchase it. I use a layer of it on top of my BB Cream and it leaves my skin looking flawless. Such a great product and a great price!

3. Mascara | I reviewed this mascara at the beginning of the summer and it's the only one I use now. Products that you go have to change out often (like mascara), I don't like to spend a ton of money on so I am so excited that I love this affordable option. Read more of my review here.

4. BB Cream | I have also reviewed this BB Cream before in this post and I am still absolutely loving it! It evens out my skin tone and makes my sun spots magically disappear. Magic in a tube and it's under $10.

5. Eye Shadow | Like I mentioned above, I don't splurge on items that I go through quickly or need to replace often. However, I do splurge on eye shadow palettes because they seem to last forever. This is my all time favorite palette and definitely worth splurging on!

6. Bronzer, Highlighter, and Blush Palette | This palette is also one of my splurges but it's also worth the price. I brush the bronzer on my cheeks, nose, chin, and forehead then I add the blush to my cheeks and finish off with the highlighter on my eye lids, nose, cheeks, and chin. This palette gives me just enough color and I love it!

7. Makeup Remover Wipes | I love this makeup remover wipes and they are so cheap! The wipe is thick and they don't dry out easily.

8. Eyeliner | I have been using this eyeliner literally for over ten years. When I was in college, I started experimenting with eyeliner and I have been using the same one ever since. I usually wear the black onyx color. Also another great beauty product that's budget friendly.

I also wanted to share my most recent cut, color, and style by the amazing Kahli Markham at Renew.   I have to get my hair colored on an eight week schedule because I've had some gray hair since I was 18. Not fun and it seems like I have even more gray hair every time. I really hope that is not going to be the norm for me! My hair is naturally pretty dark and she does the best job lightening it up for me to get the look I want. She also does a shadowed root so that my regrowth looks more natural and also did balayage highlights. I love how my color turned out! My cut is an angled bob (that she just trimmed up because I'm letting my hair grow out) and she curled it with a 1.25 inch curling iron. I wish she could come to my house and style my hair for me every day. If you are looking for a new stylist, she will be accepting new clients starting in January.

No Sweat Sweater

bohoblu, north carolina blogger, summer sweater, style on a budget, mom style

Happy Monday! I hope you had an amazing weekend! Over the weekend, my husband painted our front door pink! I have always wanted a pink door and he finally made my wish come true. He wasn't always on board with the idea but he loves how it turned out and I do too. Now, I need to jazz up my front porch accessories to compliment the new color.

We have also been busy this weekend preparing for the first day of school. Today, I officially have a second grader and a kindergartner! Back to school is always a bittersweet time because I miss my girls when they are at school but we are all eager for routine. But I must say, this has definitely been the best summer as a mommy. They are at such a fun age where it's so much easier to throw them in the car and go somewhere fun! I can't wait to hear all about their first day of school when they get home.

Now that my kids are back in school, fall is on my mind. Especially when I walk outside in the morning to cooler temperatures! But in North Carolina, we get a taste of fall in the morning but it's usually pretty warm by noon this time of year. As much as I have been wanting to hold onto summertime, I love layering! Today, I'm styling the perfect no sweat sweater from BohoBlu that allows you to layer up without suffering from heat exhaustion!

I paired the August top (how pretty are the sleeves?!) with denim shorts for a comfortable end of summer look. I added a nude shaping cami (also from BohoBlu) underneath and y'all, every woman needs this cami. It will be perfect throughout the seasons, especially underneath sweaters this winter. For jewels, I kept it simple because you don't need many accessories with such an amazing sweater. I loved how the simple Gabrilla necklace looked with this outfit and the Emily earrings perfectly compliment any outfit (also, I love the name of them)!

I also wanted to share with two other ways I would style this versatile lightweight layer...

1. With a black tank dress: layer this sweater on top of one of your summertime little black dresses for an instantly put together look! The sweater layered on top adds a fun element to your look plus it conceals your mid-section if that is a problem area for you. I love adding a layer on top of a more fitted dress to make me feel more confident.

2. With skinny jeans: transition this sweater right into fall by adding skinny jeans and ankle boots to this look. A long necklace would add the perfect finishing touch!
