a tooth?!
Julianna's tooth broke through yesterday. It's not completely in yet but you can definitely see it now. It's official. We no longer have a totally gummy baby. She's growing up so fast, too fast!
our semi-haunted house
Here's our semi-haunted house... Josh loves the creepy decorations. Skulls, bones, and spider webs aren't my thing but we compromised. We have our cute little milk jug ghosts (they will be lit up at night) and my pumpkin.
NASCAR day
Yesterday was NASCAR day in downtown Randleman. I haven't been to NASCAR day in years. I may have gone once or twice when I was a child. Josh was dressed up as the "Fat Cat" for the State Employees Credit Union. Our friend Brittney works there and she thought he'd be perfect for the job... and he was! Josh even got to meet Richard Petty in his Fat Cat costume! We also ran into our nephew, Dakota. He entertained Julianna and made her giggle. She was very content all day long!

happy saturday!
The weekends are like a holiday for me. I love the weekend. I get to relax and spend time with my little one. Before I had her, I looked forward to sleeping in on the weekend and that was the best part. Now I don't mind getting up early and starting my day with my giggly little girl.
Last night, Josh started painting our kitchen and dining room. We're going with a lovely shade of red. I'll show the before and after photos when it's complete. I'm loving it so far!
A group from our church left last night to go to the Dominican Republic to build a house for a family. How awesome is that?! I would love to go on a mission trip in the future. Keep the group in your prayers and follow their journey at http://northridgenow.blogspot.com/

wakey wakey
What a week this has been! Tuesday night was probably the worst night we've had in a long time. She was teething so bad. She cried inconsolably for over 3 hours straight. It was tough... we were both crying because I just felt so helpless. I had tried everything to make her feel better and nothing seemed to work. By Wednesday, she seemed a little better but still slept half of the night in her swing with mommy on the couch. Thursday was even better. She slept from 8:15pm to 4:45am. Go JuJu! The culprit for all of this fussiness and crying is starting to make it's debut. This precious little tooth is starting to break through her gums. I'm thinking it will be shining brightly in a matter of days.
God bless moms and dads of teething babies!

teeth cutting party
Dear Julianna,
Thank you for inviting daddy and I to your teeth cutting party last night. We really appreciate your invite. We love spending time with you but not when you're fussy and it's 2am. Please don't throw that party again tonight. Have your party during the day while you're at daycare. We like hanging out with the happy Julianna.
With all of our love,
Your SLEEPY Parents

my e-baby
Well, I posted just the other day that Julianna was close to sitting up on her own. We officially have sitter! She has been sitting up on her own for over 10 minutes at a time.
Today, I was sitting on the floor using the computer with her between my legs. I got up to use the bathroom and when I came back this is what I found:

photos and updates
Julianna is almost seven months old... time has really flown!
-She is sitting up almost completely on her own... she's still a bit wobbly but almost ready to sit up without the boppy behind her.
-She's talking up a storm! So far she's said "baba" and "dada" for sure and then just babbles.
-There is a tooth on the bottom ready to pop through any day now.
