Shoe Staples from Yosi Samra

Hey y'all! What is your absolute favorite thing to shop for? As much as I love shopping for clothing, shoes are by far my favorite! And by shop for, I usually mean browse my favorite online stores because I would much prefer to shop in the comfort of my home than fight with crowded stores and busy parking lots. Also as far as shoe shopping goes, shoes are one of the things I do spend a little more money on. Shoes are made to protect and support your feet, you walk on your feet at all so therefore you need good, comfortable shoes to get you from point A to point B. As much as I love a bargain shoe find on occasion, investing in shoe staples is a good investment in my option. By shoe staples I mean, shoes that you will wear often and that will last a long time. A good pair of heels, supportive sandals, easy to throw on flats, and comfortable sneakers are all shoe staples for me.

Yosi Samra reached out to me and wanted to send me a couple pairs of their shoes to try out. The first pair of shoes that caught my eye were these Daniel Tan Leather Heels. I loved these heels at first sight because of the perfect neutral color, the strappy ankle, and the low heel height. Heels are fun but having a practical heel height is ideal for my busy lifestyle. These heels give you just enough height to look dressy while still being super comfortable to walk in. They are definitely a shoe staple!

I styled my new leather heels with white denim, a fun pink top, and my straw tote! I wore this outfit to my daughters' dance recital this past Saturday. It was put together yet comfortable enough for navigating my way to my seat and helping with outfit changes!

Yosi Samra also sent me a pair of their Pink Sandpaper Glitter Ballet Flats! Having an extra pair of shoes in your bag, in the car, or in your drawer at work is always a great idea. Even in the most comfortable pair of shoes, sometimes you just need a pair of flats when your feet get tired or you just need to get somewhere quick. This pair of foldable flats is so incredibly comfortable! It literally felt like I was wearing a pair of my most comfy bedroom slippers, except a lot prettier! These flats are also super flexible and the highest of quality. Ballet flats are another shoe staple!

Instagram Roundup

Happy Wednesday! I hope you all had a great weekend! I am finally back to blogging over a busy weekend of dance recital (the girls did great) and an impromptu overnight trip to the mountains (I'll be sharing more about our getaway here on the blog next week). We have literally been on the go and my laundry needs major attention. I am spending my morning getting my house back in order and prepping for two more big events this week. This month is seriously busy!

Today, I'm sharing my weekly Instagram Roundup. 'Tis the season for shorts, stripes, and straw bags.

This top is hands down my most favorite one that I own simply because it's so incredibly comfortable. I have it in two colors and I've been debating on adding the white one to my closet.

These are a few of my favorite accessories. I have been wearing scarves either tied in my hair or tied on my bag constantly. I love the fun pop of color they add!

These striped linen pants were one of my favorite April purchases and I am still loving them. They are so comfy and have pockets!

Like I mentioned above, I am all about stripes right now. They are always my go-to pattern! I bought this shirt last year and I still love it. They have an updated version this season!

I always size up one size in all of my t-shirts so that I'm able to create this fun knot. It makes a simple tee and jeans combo so much more fun!

I packed these pretty things for our weekend trip to the Great Wolf Lodge a couple of weeks ago. How fun is this "out of office" tee?!

The colors in these shorts are so pretty together! I love the relaxed fit of them as well. I paired them with a basic black tee and denim jacket for a casually put together look.

Currently Loving

Happy Friday! I hope you've had a great week! We have an exciting weekend coming up with the girls' dance recital. Today, I'm sharing my weekly roundup of what I'm currently loving. I am also adding in a bonus pick that isn't fashion or style related but it's a product that I am really loving and that I think you'll love too!

Which of this week's picks is your favorite?!

1. White Kimono | I love this kimono! It's such a classic piece that can be worn all spring and summer long. I love layering a kimono with a tank and shorts, over a dress, or wear it as a swim cover up. The eyelet detail on this one is gorgeous!

2. Earrings | I absolutely love turquoise jewels for summertime, especially earrings! When it's hot outside, I don't like to wear a lot of jewelry so a great pair of statement earrings is perfect for me.

3. Floral Swimsuit | How pretty is this swimsuit?! I also shared it yesterday's Budget Friendly One Piece Swimsuits post and it was definitely my favorite pick. The floral print, the colors, and the style are just so pretty! I need to add this one to my cart ASAP!

4. Butterfly Top | This top was love at first sight. I absolutely love this color combination and the overall style. It would be so cute with jean shorts and sandals!

5. Rose Gold Slides | Speaking of sandals, how cute are these Greece inspired slides?! You have probably seen them all over Instagram but I this rose gold pair immediately grabbed my attention.

6. Chambray Shorts | The style of these shorts is so cute! I love the tie in the front. These shorts would be great with all of your tees and tanks this summer.

7. Tee | My eye is instantly drawn to two things: the color pink and stripes. This adorable tee has both of those things! I think it would be super cute with high rise shorts or a high waisted skirt.

8. Eyelet Peplum | I shared this top in my LOFT Try On Session last week and it's back in stock plus it's currently 40% off. I found the fit to be true to size when I tried it on in store. Such a beautiful, feminine top for spring and summer!

9. Bonus Pick | And, my bonus pick of the week is deodorant believe it or not!? I'm fairly certain I have never mentioned deodorant here on the blog but I have been hunting for a natural one that I like. I have tried a few and I finally found the very best one! I have fairly sensitive skin and this deodorant didn't cause me any irritation. I have been using the Lavender and Rose scent and I love it!

Thank you so much for visiting today! I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend!

Budget Friendly One Piece Swimsuits

budget friendly swimsuits, one piece swimsuits, mom swimsuits, north carolina blogger
Hey y'all! Last week, while we were at Great Wolf Lodge, I literally lived in a swimsuit. We were at the waterpark and pool for several hours on Friday, pretty much all day on Saturday, and back again on Sunday. I've purchased a couple swimsuits this season but I was thinking more towards hanging out in another country (Mexico!) on the beach with my husband (of almost 10 years) when I bought them. This weekend vacay let me know that I have a major shortage of mom friendly swimsuits. Why is every single swimsuit I try on super duper cheeky?! I can't have half of my bottom hanging out of my swimsuit at the YMCA splash pad or the local pool. That just ain't happening. So, I have been on the hunt for some some mom friendly and budget friendly one piece swimsuits that make me feel comfortable enough for mommying by the water, but while still having some style to them.

Swimsuits are seriously my very least favorite thing to shop for. It's awful standing in a dressing room in this swimsuit that is cutting you in all of the wrong places and that you aren't completely sure you are going to be able to get back out of without the assistance of another human being. Anyone else felt like this?! And, of course the lighting is usually terrible as well which makes everything much worse. But! I think I have found us some good one piece options and I am planning to order a few of these to try in the comfort of my own home. Yay for budget friendly one piece swimsuits!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!

Instagram Roundup

north carolina blogger, style on a budget, mom style, instagram roundup, spring and summer outfits

Hey y'all! I hope you're having a great week! We are gearing up for the girls' dance recital this weekend and I can't wait to watch them perform! This year, the girls were in the same dance and tumble classes so that has been super convenient as far as scheduling goes. Next year, they will be in different dance classes so I'm excited to see them perform together in this showcase since they won't be able to be in the same class again for a couple of years. Watching them be in their element on stage is my favorite. We are hoping to get Julianna involved in the local theater this year as well because she born to perform and be on stage! She loves to act, dance, and sing!

Today, I'm sharing my weekly Instagram Roundup. I am currently loving floral, stripes, and of course pops of my favorite color, pink!

I wore this "be nice" tee on Mother's Day because what more appropriate day to wear it since I say this to my children all of the time?! Lol. I have literally worn this top twice a week since I got. I'm pretty sure you'll see it at least one more in this blog post. It's so soft and the fit is true to size.

I bought these gorgeous sandals in this year's updated rhinestone version because I literally wore my pearl ones every other day last summer. They are so comfortable! Plus, they are casually fancy which is always my favorite. Size up a half size for the best fit.

Yes, I'm sharing these cute girls in these adorable overalls again. I love them (the girls and the overalls)! The fit is true to size and they want to wear them everyday.

How fun is this tee?! I saw it online and I had to get head straight to the store that day to get it. The fit is true to size but I like my tees oversized so I sized up one size.

Look! Here's my be nice tee again. This time I styled it with my favorite kimono and shorts for Friday afternoon errands. The colors in this kimono make me happy!

I live in jean shorts during the spring and summer. This pair is perfect for moms who like a little distressing but need an appropriate length for hanging out with the kiddos. I sized up one size for the best fit in this pair.

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a wonderful day!
