Ladylike Gingham

Happy Wednesday, friends! Today, I'm styling this gorgeous gingham dress from one of my favorite companies, Shabby Apple! I have had the pleasure of working with them many times and it's always an honor to style their beautiful clothing. Everything they sell is ladylike and feminine yet modest. I think this Cotillion Dress is a perfect example of just how awesome this business is at making women feel absolutely beautiful while maintaining their modesty. The cut is flattering, the length is appropriate, and the style is timeless.

I styled this black and white gingham dress with a neutral pair of wedges, a simple bracelet, and a neon bag for a pop of color. The dress is so pretty all on it's own! Oh and let's not forget the pockets. Pockets on a dress (or skirt) is pretty much perfection. I don't know about you but when a dress has pockets, I'm sold.  Also, I didn't even need to iron this dress when I took it out of the package. I always avoid ironing at all costs so I was thrilled to be able to wear it immediately without having to get my husband to iron it for me (he's way better at it than I am)! I literally can't say enough good things about this dress. It will be a classic piece in my closet for many years to come!

I will be teaming up with Shabby Apple to giveaway a $50 gift card so stay tuned to my Instagram account today for more details on how to enter. Have a wonderful day!

Instagram Roundup

Hey y'all! I am way behind on sharing my outfits from Instagram. Over a week behind but I have a pretty good excuse. I have been working at summer camp and we just finished the first two weeks and we have two more weeks to go. For those of you who don't know, I'm a STEM teacher at a faith based afterschool program for at risk youth in my community. We hold a summer day camp each summer and it's tons of fun! I work twice as many hours so I have been twice as tired! Plus the North Carolina summer heat is no joke. By the time 8pm hits, I can't leave the couch. But I am so thankful for the awesome opportunity to have a job that I absolutely love.

So you've probably noticed that my outfit posts have been a little different the past couple of weeks because I'm living in shorts and work t-shirts. My weekends are still filled with heels, skirts, and dresses, of course. You can shop each look through the links below each picture but feel free to let me know if you have questions about sizing or fit.

Have a great Tuesday, everyone!

Sew Bright

Happy Monday, y'all! I'm here to make your Monday just a little, actually a lot, brighter! I'm so excited to share this gorgeous clutch with you from my friend Sarah over at Sew Sarah R. I've been following Sarah on Instagram for awhile and I absolutely love her style! She's also a momma and shares my love for Lilly and bright colors. Her handmade clutches are made out of the prettiest fabrics, including this beautiful new Lilly Pulitzer print, Toucan Can. There's even a mom and her mini matching set that is oh "sew" cute!

Pattern mixing kind of feels like second nature to me so I had no problem styling this fun clutch! I paired it with a chambray off the shoulder dress, my favorite neutral sandals, a simple bangle, and oversized sunnies. My beautiful bag added just the pop of color I needed! It's also the perfect little bag for a date night, summer wedding, or an evening out with friends. It actually is quite roomy on the inside for a small bag. I was able to fit my phone, a small wallet, lip gloss, and keys all inside of my clutch with no problem. Sarah's clutches would also make the perfect gift for any lady! Who wouldn't want a handmade clutch?! She has the perfect pattern to match every style.

I plan to carry this clutch all summer long because the bright colors and gorgeous pattern make any outfit a lot more fun. You can save 15% off of your very own clutch or one for a friend with my code EMILY15 at checkout. I hope you all have a great day!

Pursecase

Hey y'all and happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend. Mine absolutely flew by but it was a great one! Today, I am so excited to share an ingenious product with you all called Pursecase. You may have seen this product before because it was featured on ABC's Shark Tank and partnered with Lori Greiner. Pursecase is a cell phone case that looks like a mini purse! It safely carries your smartphone with a spot to hold your ID, debit or credit card, and even a little cash. Pursecase also comes with a detachable crossbody chain for even more convenience. I can think of so many occasions where I needed this invention, especially as a busy mom! Often when I run into a store, I don't want to take my whole purse, wallet, and phone so this is the smartest solution.

You can check out how I've styled my Pink iPhone 6S Crossbody Pursecase in the photos below. I had to choose the bright pink one but it also comes in black, brown, gray, olive green, khaki, and blush with different chain color options as well.  The Pursecase works just like a regular cell phone case in the fact that you can still make calls, text, take pictures, and even charge it when the phone is in it but the hands free option with the crossbody chain and the compartment for your essentials, makes it way better than your average cell phone case.

Pursecase is fashionable, convenient, and super cute.

Vacation Roundup

Happy Thursday! Last weekend, we took a mini beach vacation to have some fun and do some relaxing since our official summer vacation to Walt Disney World was anything but relaxing! You can learn more about our Disney trip here. We typically stay in Oak Island when we go to the beach because the company that my husband works for owns a hotel and marina there. We absolutely love the Oak Island and Southport area! While we were there I got to catch up on some reading, eat at my favorite places (hello, Provision Co!), and enjoy the gorgeous view with my sweet family! It was such a great weekend.

Below, I am sharing a few pictures of my vacation style- which is my absolute favorite type of style. I'm a terrible packer but I learned my lesson from my previous trips and put together about 10 outfits for our 3 nights away. A girl's gotta have options.
