Currently Loving .160

Hey y'all! I hope you've had a great week! Mine has been great but seriously, there aren't enough hours in the day to get everything done that I want to complete. I mean, where does the time even go?! I'm really looking forward to some extra time to get stuff done this weekend and of course, have some fun and lots of relaxation! That sounds like a really good mix to me.

Today, I'm sharing my weekly roundup of what I'm Currently Loving! As I've mentioned before, this is always my favorite blog post to put together each week. But also, did y'all know that I hit publish on four to five blog posts every single week?! I know a lot of my Instagram story friends head over here from there weekly for this post but come back Monday through Thursday for more With Style & Grace. I have been blogging consistently in this little space for ten years!

Which of this week's picks is your favorite?!

1. J E A N S | I absolutely love this style of denim and I already own a distressed pair similar to these. They are so comfy and flattering! They do run pretty big so I would suggest sizing down (down one size from your typical Madewell denim size or down two sizes from your typical size in our denim brands). You will love these jeans!

2. B A G | I absolutely do not need another bag in my life but y'all, I am really loving this one! And it's currently on sale. I love the shape of the bag and of course, the leopard print. So cute!

3. B L A Z E R | My overall wardrobe is pretty casual since my lifestyle is also, pretty casual. But, I love having a sweater blazer like this in my wardrobe to throw on to instantly make me look a little more put together! I recently wore mine with a leopard button up, skinny jeans, and ankle boots.

4. S N E A K E R S | White sneakers work year round in my opinion and I love this pair! I have a super similar pair from this brand and they are seriously the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I often get asked how I keep my shoes white and all I do is spray them with Scotchgard and I also throw them in the washing machine as needed then air dry. I love pairing my casual white sneakers with a more dressy top or coat this time of year!

5. E A R R I N G S | How cute are these simple, statement earrings from Bohoblu?! I'm always drawn to round jewelry and I love these timeless earrings. They would make such a great gift!

6. T O P | My closet was in need of some casual, everyday, comfy tops and I'm so glad that I recently added this one to my closet. I love the olive color and the length is perfect for wearing with leggings and skinny jeans. It's a great closet basic! The fit is true to size.

7. R I N G | This ring was one of my November purchases and it's even prettier in person! This color is called berry illusion and it's a pretty shade of raspberry pink. It make such a fun statement!

8. S H I R T | I recently bought this shirt and I know it's going to be a favorite this season! When I ordered it, I must have totally missed the fact that it has pocket! A comfy flannel with pockets?! Sign me up! I sized up to a medium for an oversized fit and it works great for leggings. If you prefer a more fitted style, I would stick with your regular size. Oh and it's kind of hard to tell but the stripes are a great neutral, olive green!

Thank you so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Classic Style, Head to Toe

mom style, north carolina blogger, nc blogger, classic style, what to buy for winter, style blogger, style on a budget

Happy Thursday! Today is all about the classics. As I've moved further into my thirties, my wardrobe has definitely changed. I'm drawn less to trendy items and now I gravitate more towards classic. Items that stand the test of time. Things that won't go out of "style" by this time next year. This has also meant investing a little more in my clothing so that it can last more than one season.

Today's style is classic and Madewell head to toe. This outfit was selected by me but was gifted to me by Madewell, my favorite store. To be perfectly transparent, I squealed when I got the e-mail from them! I was thrilled and so excited to pick out an outfit that was filled with great, classic pieces that I would be able to wear over and over and year to year. Madewell is my favorite store because the color palette appeals to me, the pieces feel vintage inspired and classic (with a trendy twist from time to time), and their brand fits my casual lifestyle just right!

The first items I selected for this classic outfit were the boots and large transport tote (with a zipper) in the English Saddle color. This color literally goes with everything. Brown or black or whatever. I recently purchased these boots in the leopard print and they are so comfortable. This pair is a great classic that I know I will love for years! I have loved my medium transport tote in this color so I know I will get a lot of use out of the large tote as well, especially for work.

I have a thing for cream/off white/ivory sweaters and I wanted one that was great quality. This sweater is definitely it! It's so soft and cozy but the style is flattering and feminine. Really, just the perfect combination! It tucks perfectly into these straight leg jeans. I've always been a skinny jeans kind of girl but over the last two years, I have experimented with different styles of denim and I really love the look of straight leg jeans. They work great with ankle boots and sneakers, which are my go-to shoes during the fall and winter seasons.

The jacket was more of a trendy pick for this look because I wanted to add leopard print to the outfit. I also knew that I would personally get a lot of wear out of this jacket! I have already worn it three times since I got it a week ago. It's so warm and adds such a fun layer to any outfit, even just to throw over your workout clothes to go to the gym!

Instagram Roundup .191

instagram roundup, mom style, north carolina blogger, nc blogger, fall fashion, winter style, what to wear for fall
Hey y'all! I hope you're having a great week so far! This year, Josh and I are doing some fun tasting calendar to countdown to Christmas. One of them is wine and the other is cheese. I bought them at Aldi back in November and I have been patiently waiting for it to be December! We are having so much tasting the wine and cheese each night then giving it a rating on a five star scale. You can see our daily tasting on my Instagram stories... it's been pretty entertaining so far!

Today, I'm sharing my weekly Instagram Roundup, including some of the outfits that I have recently one and of course, a cute picture of my kids! I have been living in cozy jackets lately and I'm also starting to add a little sparkle to my outfits for the holiday season.

I am loving this cute turtleneck that I recently tried on at Madewell. This dusty rose color is one of my favorites! The fit is true to size.

I wore this cozy and comfy outfit for a fun day with my family (and a date night) last Saturday. This fuzzy jacket and sneaker combo is going to be on repeat!

Head to toe Madewell! I am loving this sherpa coat and my new straight leg jeans. I use to be strictly skinny jeans a couple of years of ago but now I loving more styles, especially straight leg!

I unfortunately am allergic to real Christmas trees so this is as close to real thing as I'm going to get. We bought one about six years ago and I was so sick the entire month of December. At the time, I just thought I had a really bad cold but the day we got rid of it, I got better. Team fake tree for us!

My long time favorite pattern mix: leopard and plaid. These sweet girls did this pose all on their own! Too cute! They love each other... most of the time.

This is one of my most favorite recent outfits! This leopard boots really just take any outfit up a notch and make you feel put together. They were one of my favorite November purchases!

Thanks so much for visiting! I hope you have a wonderful day!

My November Purchases

november purchases, north carolina blogger, nc blogger, style on a budget, mom style, what to buy for winter, fall fashion
Hey y'all! I hope your week is off to a great start! Today, I'm going to be sharing my November purchases with y'all. I used to share my favorite monthly purchases here on the blog (probably about a year ago or so) but I stopped doing that when I stopped purchasing as much stuff. I used to round up my favorite items that I purchased but if I purchased it and kept it then that means that I really loved it! I hope that makes sense. I'm much more selective on what makes the cut! Weekly, I share my roundup of what I'm Currently Loving and I just want you to know that I never purchase all of the items that I love. Sometimes I might buy one thing, none, two or three, or I already own (and love) some of the items that I am sharing. I have become so much more thoughtful about what I spend my money on over the last 12-18 months. I also encourage you to be thoughtful as well! Before I add an item of clothing to my closet, I always ask myself a few questions...

How often will I get use out of this item?
If this item practical for my lifestyle?
Do I want to buy this because I love it or because someone else has it?
How long will this item last in my closet?
Am I buying this only because it's on sale?
Can I style this item with pieces that I already own?

I used to buy so many things without walking through these questions and it left me with a closet of items that I never used. So many things that were a total waste of money! So now, I'm more thoughtful (not perfect but much better than before) about what I choose to spend money on. So, here's what I bought that month that made it thoughtfully into my closet:

I had a major shortage in my closet of jackets, especially a jacket that I could wear everyday. I got this budget friendly one at the beginning of November and I have already worn it so much! I throw it on pretty much every single morning over my gym clothes and to take the kids to school. I love this pink color but it also comes in lots of other colors. I found the fit to be true to size.

These ankle boots were my birthday gift from my husband and I absolutely love it! They instantly make a simple outfit so much more fun... and sassy. I usually wear an 8.5 in boots but the size 8 was the best fit for me. Hello, new favorite boots!

I have been loving the look of a cardigan front tucked into denim but I just couldn't find a cardigan that I liked to wear as a top. Until I found this one! The material is so soft and not like a sweater at all. I found the fit to be true to size.

I needed another pair of workout leggings and these checked off all of my boxes! High waisted, comfortable, 7/8 length, black, and they have pockets (I absolutely love pockets). The price is right and they fit true to size. They are my new favorite leggings for working out!

I'm not a red and green kind of festive girl so when I spotted this top, I knew it was the holiday top for me! It has just enough sparkle to make it feel festive but could totally be worn year round as well. The fit is super flattering and it's just a great little top in your closet! It runs true to size.

I got this ring with my 50% off birthday discount at Kendra Scott. Did you know you can get any piece half off during your birthday month?! I love the the color and style of this ring!

I have been wanting a good pair of tall boots for quite awhile. I wanted something that was tall but not over the knee tall to wear with jeans, leggings, and dresses this season. These are absolutely perfect! A great price for the quality and they are super comfortable. Such an amazing pair of boots! They run true to size.

Santa Photos 2019

north carolina blogger, santa photos, style blogger, mom life, family picture outfits

Happy Monday! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! We definitely got in the Christmas spirit by getting our tree up and decorations out. This is the second year in a row that the girls have decorated our main Christmas tree in the living room all on their own. I have my own small tree in the dining room that I decorate with vintage glass ornaments (mostly pink and rose gold) that were given to by mom or that I've found at various antique malls. I love hunting them down!

We also kicked off our holiday celebrations by making a visit to see Santa at the Friendly Center in Greensboro! Santa's cottage is located by the fountain and gathering area (also super close by some of my very favorite stores, including Madewell, J. Crew, and Kendra Scott). The cottage is decorated with the cutest holiday pieces by West Elm. The girls loved chatting with Santa Claus about what's on their Christmas wish lists this year. They even gave the girls door hangers to use to write down their Christmas lists, too! My girls are wishing for an iPod Touch and lots of doll accessories this year.

Our photographer captured quite a few images and let us narrow it down to our favorites. We chose package B, which gives you one 5x7 print to take home instantly that day plus all of your chosen images will be digitally sent over to you for sharing on social media or printing. We had such a great overall experience visiting the Santa at the Friendly Center! If you are local, be sure to take advantage of my discount by following the directions below:
