Hey y'all! Back in October, I shared my personal fall and winter bucket list here on the blog. I wanted to revisit this bucket list to share what we have already completed. I can already tell we aren't going to cross every single thing off our list and that's totally okay. I like putting together these lists to have a guide for our how I want us to spend our time together during certain seasons. These lists help us be much more intentional about how our time is spent, particularly on the weekends.
So, here's my fall and winter bucket list, in no particular order. I've crossed off the things that we have completed this season and shared additional details as needed.

1. Go to the Asheboro fall festival.
2. Take a road trip to visit a city that we've never explored before.
We went to downtown Mount Airy, North Carolina since we had never been. It was a short visit but we did try a new restaurant, visited a new brewery, and even met a llama!

3. Go for a hike to hunt for waterfalls.
4. Day trip to the Blowing Rock/Boone/Banner Elk area.
This is one of my very favorite areas in North Carolina! You can read more about our day trip to the High Country in this blog post.

5. Visit Trader Joe's to pick up some new fall foods to try.
Now that we have a Trader's Joe much closer, we have been making much more frequent visits to pick up some of our favorite items. I shared what some of my recent Trader Joe's finds in this blog post.

6. Go on a weekend getaway with my husband. Just the two of us.
For my birthday, my husband and I had a weekend getaway to Asheville, North Carolina. We had so much fun! You can read about the trip in this blog post.

7. Visit the Biltmore. (I've lived in North Carolina my whole life and I've never been).
We were hoping to cross this one off of our visit during our weekend getaway to Asheville but we should have bought tickets in advance because it was sold out. We are hoping to make a visit soon because I really want to go!

8. Carve pumpkins as a family.
9. Make s'mores at home.
10. Try a new restaurant.
While we were in Mount Airy, we had to go to Snappy Lunch to try the famous pork chop sandwich. It was a neat experience but I wasn't too impressed with this sandwich. However, I definitely think this place is worth a visit!

11. Bake a dessert with the kids and let them help, even if it's messy.
12. Start a new tradition. Or two.
13. Take a trip to South Carolina to visit family.
This is on our calendar for the day after Christmas.

14. Walk dogs at the animal shelter.
The girls and I picked up our volunteer forms last week so we are planning to walk the dogs this Friday for the first time. They are so excited!

16. Build a snowman (even the weather cooperates).
17. Read two books.
Um, I guess I should start the first book since it's already December.

18. Make homemade cinnamon rolls.
We are planning to make them on Christmas morning, like we did last year!
