Classic Style, Head to Toe

Happy Thursday! Today is all about the classics. As I've moved further into my thirties, my wardrobe has definitely changed. I'm drawn less to trendy items and now I gravitate more towards classic. Items that stand the test of time. Things that won't go out of "style" by this time next year. This has also meant investing a little more in my clothing so that it can last more than one season.

Today's style is classic and Madewell head to toe. This outfit was selected by me but was gifted to me by Madewell, my favorite store. To be perfectly transparent, I squealed when I got the e-mail from them! I was thrilled and so excited to pick out an outfit that was filled with great, classic pieces that I would be able to wear over and over and year to year. Madewell is my favorite store because the color palette appeals to me, the pieces feel vintage inspired and classic (with a trendy twist from time to time), and their brand fits my casual lifestyle just right!

The first items I selected for this classic outfit were the boots and large transport tote (with a zipper) in the English Saddle color. This color literally goes with everything. Brown or black or whatever. I recently purchased these boots in the leopard print and they are so comfortable. This pair is a great classic that I know I will love for years! I have loved my medium transport tote in this color so I know I will get a lot of use out of the large tote as well, especially for work.

I have a thing for cream/off white/ivory sweaters and I wanted one that was great quality. This sweater is definitely it! It's so soft and cozy but the style is flattering and feminine. Really, just the perfect combination! It tucks perfectly into these straight leg jeans. I've always been a skinny jeans kind of girl but over the last two years, I have experimented with different styles of denim and I really love the look of straight leg jeans. They work great with ankle boots and sneakers, which are my go-to shoes during the fall and winter seasons.

The jacket was more of a trendy pick for this look because I wanted to add leopard print to the outfit. I also knew that I would personally get a lot of wear out of this jacket! I have already worn it three times since I got it a week ago. It's so warm and adds such a fun layer to any outfit, even just to throw over your workout clothes to go to the gym!
