Heath & Fitness: Day 37-40

I'll admit it, I've been slacking. I can't even remember if I worked out on Tuesday but I know I didn't on Wednesday or Thursday. But I have a good reason. Josh was out of town. Julianna doesn't sleep well when daddy isn't home so she fought her sleep for 2 nights and Olivia also decided to wake up every 2 hours. The result? Mommy got hardly any sleep. No sleep = no energy. But the girls made up for it last night. Daddy was back at home and they both slept for at least 12 hours! This is a first! I am so very thankful for my 9 hours of sleep last night. Today I definitely completed my workout to the best of my ability! Two more days of level 3 and my 30 days will be complete.

Heath & Fitness: Day 11

Day 11 was by far the hardest for me. Why? Our sweet little two year old would not go to sleep last night. Screamed for 75 minutes. Slept for 45. Screamed off and on the rest of the night. It was exhausting. Josh took care of her while I was feeding Olivia every 2 hours. I took over Julianna duties at 4am and just got her down for a nap at 11:30am. Oh my goodness. I am tired. This is why day 11 was tough. Even though it was tough and I was tired, at least I did it. I probably didn't go as hard as I should have during my workout but at least I completed my exercise. Can I take a nap now, girls? Please?!

Day 11 Exercise:
-20 minutes of the 30 day shred... including warm up and cool down, it's actually about 25 minutes- the warm up is a work out too!!

Olivia- 8 weeks old

Olivia Grace is 8 weeks old today. She is getting so big, so fast. She's already in size 2 diapers and some of her 0-3 month clothing is getting snug. I would guess that she's about 12 pounds now but we'll know for sure when we go for her checkup next week. Her nighttime sleeping is getting better. She still starts out the night in her swing but moves to the bassinet when she wakes up between 2am and 3am. She'll sleep there until about 8am. I'm surprised When she is awake, she's such an alert and happy baby. She smiles when you talk to her and coos in response.

Olivia- 7 weeks old

Olivia Grace is 7 weeks old. I cannot believe she's almost 2 months old but it's also hard to remember what life was like without our Livi. Olivia is still eating good and her sleeping has gotten better. She's actually sleep in her bassinet now! She's still taking naps in the swing and starts out the night in the swing but sleeps the rest of the night in her room, sleeping in her bassinet. She's also sleeping for longer streches: 4-8 hours for her first stretch and then 2-3 hours the rest of the day. She also loves to fall asleep on her belly, laying on my legs.

My favorite thing this week has been the amount of smiling that she's been doing. Her smiles are just so super sweet!

wakey wakey

What a week this has been! Tuesday night was probably the worst night we've had in a long time. She was teething so bad. She cried inconsolably for over 3 hours straight. It was tough... we were both crying because I just felt so helpless. I had tried everything to make her feel better and nothing seemed to work. By Wednesday, she seemed a little better but still slept half of the night in her swing with mommy on the couch. Thursday was even better. She slept from 8:15pm to 4:45am. Go JuJu! The culprit for all of this fussiness and crying is starting to make it's debut. This precious little tooth is starting to break through her gums. I'm thinking it will be shining brightly in a matter of days.

God bless moms and dads of teething babies!

teeth cutting party

Dear Julianna,

Thank you for inviting daddy and I to your teeth cutting party last night. We really appreciate your invite. We love spending time with you but not when you're fussy and it's 2am. Please don't throw that party again tonight. Have your party during the day while you're at daycare. We like hanging out with the happy Julianna.

With all of our love,

Your SLEEPY Parents

getting harder to sleep

My sleep wasn't the best last night. My little girl was moving all over the place... she must have been wide awake at 3am. Not a good sign!!! And I woke up several times feeling VERY hungry! The only things that truly satisfy my hunger are:

-apples (preferably granny smith)- salsa and chips (with sour cream)

- Sir Pizza
-ceasar salads
-cheesecake -Olive Garden One of those is being fulfilled as I type. I'm eating my leftover Sir Pizza for breakfast! Poptarts and Cheerios aren't going to hit the spot today!
