#sundaysnaps | week in review
On Monday, these sweet girls didn't not want to get up! The struggle was real. How cute are they all snug in their beds?!
The bear we bought when we found out Olivia was a girl had a hole in it's back so Josh bought some thread and stitched it back up.
I love going on little lunch dates with Olivia to The Table. I had a yummy quiche and a latte. Olivia had the ham and cheese sandwich with truffle fries. She loves their fries so much... just like her momma.
My least favorite part of traveling is packing and the limited clothing options while you are gone. I basically just want to take my closet with me because I don't know exactly what I'll feel like wearing until I get up that day. Sometimes my suitcase looks like I'm leaving for a month instead of a weekend.
Josh's parents took care of the girls for the weekend so we could get away with just the two of us. Our last weekend getaway as just a couple was when I was pregnant with Olivia about three years ago! It was a much overdue trip. We made it to Asheville Friday night and went out for food. We had to go to Tupelo Honey Cafe because we had heard so many good things about it and it didn't disappoint! I had a sweet potato pancake with pecans, fried chicken, and bacon! It was huge and unbelievably delicious!
I had so much fun exploring and laughing with Josh this weekend. It was so good to be able to reconnect and just spend time enjoying each other's company. I can't wait to do it again soon!
Our last stop before hurrying back to kiss our girls was Chimney Rock. It's been since 2007 since we visited this area. We came here right after we got engaged. It's such a beautiful area but it was so cold! More pictures of a trip to come soon.
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7
