It's supposed be nearly 80 degrees here today and I am hoping to pack away my blanket scarves as soon as possible! Winter is fun for a little while but I'm over layers and ready for beach days! We booked our first beach trip of the season and I.seriously.cannot.wait! We will be headed to Oak Island for some relaxation on Memorial Day weekend. Sunshine, good food, and salty air is just calling my name. I just updated my wish list and I think I need to add these sandals to my closet... but first, a pedicure.

I work at a faith based afterschool enrichment program for at-risk kids in my community. Did ya get all that? There's a lot to what we do. We are there to help them with their homework, feed them, love on them, mentor them, and teach them. It's such a rewarding job! Last month, we focused on random acts of kindness and it inspired me to be more intentional about being kind to others. I am so thankful for all of the amazing people that following along with my Instagram and blog so last week I sent out random goodie packages to three ladies that left comments on my blog posts. It was so much fun putting the packages together and I hope the packages brightened their days as well! You don't have to do a lot to make a big difference. Just show kindness and love one another. Keep an eye out on my Instagram account for my next little giveaway.

february favorites

Happy March! Today, I am sharing four of my favorite outfits from the month of February. In February I was obviously loving PINK! My pink converses, pink tee {I own this tee in four colors because I love it that much}, pink sweater, and pink rainboots were closet favorites. I also couldn't stop carrying my Longchamp bag and my tan crossbody! To transition into warmer weather, I love pairing a comfy, bright t-shirt with a neutral cardigan. Also, it's a necessity for me to have some kind of pop of color in my outfit; big or small, it's gotta be there. 

March is going to be an exciting month! So many fun things to look forward to. My oldest daughter is going to be turning SIX! I can hardly believe that I'll have a six year old in a couple of weeks. She's growing up way too fast. I'm also looking forward to Easter and Spring Break!

Pretty much every single day, I try to put together an outfit that's "Instagram worthy" but that just doesn't always happen. Some days I'm just not feeling it and end up just wanting to be comfortable and simple. Well, I had one of those days this week and I just didn't really care what I wore. I almost don't even know what that would be like to not think through what you are putting on each day. I have literally shared my outfit of the day on Instagram almost everyday for over three years! I know some people think this fashion thing that I do is crazy or silly but it's my hobby and I love it! I love putting together outfits- it's artistic to me. On Friday, I got this sweater in the mail and I immediately changed into it for pizza night. On Saturday morning, I was having one of those "I don't have anything to wear" moments. I literally sat in the floor in my closet and just stared at that sweater until I got up put it on with my favorite vest and pink Converses. I also own the sweater in a pretty light pink shade because it's just that wonderful. It fits just a little bit oversized {I'm wearing a size small for reference} and the lace detail makes it so feminine. So when you don't know what to wear, just wear what you love... even if you wore it yesterday.

Right now I am stuck on this Longchamp tote and my tan Vince Camuto crossbody as far as purses go. When I love something, I wear it or carry it all of the time. These bags are just go with everything so they are perfect with pretty much any outfit. My black tote can even fit my laptop, planner, and all of my other purse stuff so it's just super practical for me, especially during the week. I have my eye on the bright pink version of this bag- it's so cute!

I am not a fan of wearing coats. I will run around town, in and out of the car without one because I just feel like I can't move in them or I get too warm. But the weather lately has absolutely required a coat. It's been extra cold this past week so I've actually worn one. I love my classic peacoat {on sale!} because it makes an outfit look instantly put together. It's pretty much the only coat I wear even though I own a few others. I usually prefer to dress in layers with a vest or a chunky scarf but when it's less than 20 degrees, you wear your coat. Dreaming of spring over here and excited for a warmer weekend... and not wearing a coat.
