zipped + printed

There's just nothing better than an handmade item. I love receiving an item that was designed and made just for me. It just makes it so much more special and valuable.

Zipped and Printed is an Etsy shop that creates gorgeous clutches from African wax print material and vegan leather. The material the owner of the shop uses is simply gorgeous and she has a variety of patterns available to create your perfect clutch. And of course I chose the pattern with the gorgeous pops of pink and I love this cute little tassel!

olive you

This past weekend Josh and I went to Asheville for the weekend just the two of us. We had an amazing time exploring the beautiful and unique city together. One of my favorite parts of the downtown area are all of the unique buildings and walls. For Christmas, I got a DSLR camera so I am slowly learning how to use it and putting my husband to work as my photographer. We had lots of laughs downtown taking these photos while he was dodging cars and waiting for the perfect lighting.

Olive you, my Instagram husband.

Speaking of olive, it's a color that I actually don't own much of. I spotted this sweater and knew I needed to add it to my closet. And look! I'm wearing white pants during the winter {I scored these pants from Lyon + Post, click here to learn more}. I had to take advantage of a kid free day and wear them. Just so y'all know, you can hike a mountain in white pants and not ruin them. I tried it and I was amazed.

And yes, those are heart shaped sunglasses.

shoes always fit

Shoes always fit and I think that's why I love them so much. So... holiday eating. It got the best of me and now I'm paying for it. I'm trying to get back on track with my exercise routine and healthier eating habits. But in the mean time, I'm going to give myself some grace and just enjoy these new pretty shoes that will definitely fit after way too many sweets and not enough spinach.

These beautiful new shoes are from a new brand that just recently launched this fall called Mari A. They specialize in high quality shoes for every step of your life. Shoes for going out on the town and everyday life. I've been wanting a pair of fringe heels and I love these so much! I also loved these boots because they were a much different height than any of the other boots that I own. Mari A. is currently available at Belk, DSW, and Macy's so definitely check them out if you want to add something to your closet that will fit just right... no matter how many holiday treats you devoured.

sunday snaps

#sundaysnaps | week in review

On Monday, these sweet girls didn't not want to get up! The struggle was real. How cute are they all snug in their beds?!

The bear we bought when we found out Olivia was a girl had a hole in it's back so Josh bought some thread and stitched it back up.

I love going on little lunch dates with Olivia to The Table. I had a yummy quiche and a latte. Olivia had the ham and cheese sandwich with truffle fries. She loves their fries so much... just like her momma.

My least favorite part of traveling is packing and the limited clothing options while you are gone. I basically just want to take my closet with me because I don't know exactly what I'll feel like wearing until I get up that day. Sometimes my suitcase looks like I'm leaving for a month instead of a weekend.

Josh's parents took care of the girls for the weekend so we could get away with just the two of us. Our last weekend getaway as just a couple was when I was pregnant with Olivia about three years ago! It was a much overdue trip. We made it to Asheville Friday night and went out for food. We had to go to Tupelo Honey Cafe because we had heard so many good things about it and it didn't disappoint! I had a sweet potato pancake with pecans, fried chicken, and bacon! It was huge and unbelievably delicious!

I had so much fun exploring and laughing with Josh this weekend. It was so good to be able to reconnect and just spend time enjoying each other's company. I can't wait to do it again soon!

Our last stop before hurrying back to kiss our girls was Chimney Rock. It's been since 2007 since we visited this area. We came here right after we got engaged. It's such a beautiful area but it was so cold! More pictures of a trip to come soon.

Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God.
