Fall and Winter Bucket List

Happy Tuesday! Back in September (before the official start of fall), I meant to put this blog post together and I completely forgot about it. Every season or two, I like to make a bucket list of things I want to accomplish. Sometimes the items on my list are super specific but sometimes they can also be pretty general as well. I have a mental long term bucket list that I keep running in my head for things I want to do, see, or experience in the future but I like these short term list too. The short term, seasonal lists feel like something that is more attainable, right here and right now versus that trip to Greece that I hope to take in next five years or so.

Since I planned to put this post together last month, we've actually already crossed a few things off of our list this season. I'm still including this here but I'm striking through them since they have been accomplished. Does anyone else write things down on their to-do list that they have actually already finished, just for the satisfaction of crossing it off?! Haha... I totally do that all of the time!

So, here's my fall and winter bucket list, in no particular order, (that I'll be updating and revising periodically over the next few months)...

1. Go to the Asheboro fall festival. (Which was actually where I was in the photos below.)

2. Take a road trip to visit a city that we've never explored before.

3. Go for a hike to hunt for waterfalls.

4. Day trip to the Blowing Rock/Boone/Banner Elk area.

5. Visit Trader Joe's to pick up some new fall foods to try. (This one will definitely be repeated, especially since Trader Joe's is opening up in Greensboro this week. I'm so excited!)

6. Go on a weekend getaway with my husband. Just the two of us.

7. Visit the Biltmore. (I've lived in North Carolina my whole life and I've never been).

8. Carve pumpkins as a family.

9. Make s'mores at home.

10. Try a new restaurant.

11. Bake a dessert with the kids and let them help, even if it's messy.

12. Start a new tradition. Or two.

13. Take a trip to South Carolina to visit family.

14. Walk dogs at the animal shelter.

15. Do a 5K as a family.

16. Build a snowman (even the weather cooperates).

17. Read two books.

18. Make homemade cinnamon rolls.

19. Try a new soup recipe.

20. Take family photos.

What's on your fall/winter bucket list?! I'd love to hear!
