J. Crew Spring Dressing Event

Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a great start! This past Saturday, I had the honor of hosting my first J. Crew Spring Dressing Event at the store in the Friendly Center in Greensboro! Honestly, I was super humbled to even be asked to come. I have always been a fan of J. Crew! Back in my thrifting days, it was one of the brands that I was always on the hunt for because of it's classic style and excellent quality. I always knew that if it was in the thrift store, it was probably still a piece that I could use in my wardrobe! In case you didn't know that's where I got my "fashion" start here on the blog. I started this little spot on the internet back in 2009, when I was pregnant with my oldest daughter to document my pregnancy and her life. I have always loved writing so it was a fun outlet for me since at the time I was also a full-time third grade teacher. After I had my second child in 2012, I left the classroom and become a stay at home mom (for a little while). During that time, I found myself stuck in old t-shirts and yoga pants. Again, I needed a creative outlet and a reason to get dressed so I started thrifting again and sharing my style on a budget looks on Instagram. 

Here I am in 2019... I can't believe it's been 10 years since I started this blog! This is still a creative outlet for me and my favorite hobby. I'm so thankful for the experiences it has given me!

So, now on to this past Saturday's event... my J. Crew store had the cutest setup of treats for shoppers to enjoy. I always love their attention to detail!

During the event, I chatted with shoppers and shared some of my favorite items that were currently available in the store. This clutch below was definitely one of my favorites! Isn't it cute?!

I also really loved this striped top. You just can't ever go wrong with stripes! I would style it with denim with a front tuck. Such a classic piece!

I shared this leopard slides on this past Friday's currently loving roundup and they are even better in person. The perfect way to make a simple outfit so much more fun!

Speaking of shoes, I am loving these sandals as well! They are made out of high quality leather and I love the little stud detail. They would be so cute with skirts and dresses!

I always love white tops. My eye is drawn to them! I loved the pretty, feminine details on this top that I noticed as soon as I walked into J. Crew!

J. Crew never disappoints with their graphic tees! I wore my gelato tee for the event but I always really loved all of these as well. Which one is your favorite?!

During the event, my friend Pam stopped by to try on some of the new spring arrivals and to do some shopping. She went home with this adorable graphic tee! It fits true to size. 

Also, how cute is the hat and top she's trying on here?! Such perfect pieces for spring and summer!

 I also took the time to do some try ons while I was there. I absolutely loved this button front white top! I'm trying on a size small here and I would say it fits true to size. I also loved these wide leg crops that also fit true to size. I wasn't sure if I could pull those crops off but I really liked them!

I also tried on this super comfortable chambray jumpsuit. It's such a great piece that can be dressed up with heels or dressed down with sandals, depending on the occasion. I tried on my normal size but I could have sized down one size. The fit is generous.
