My Budget Friendly Skincare Routine

Hey y'all! I hope you all had a great weekend! Today's post is all about skincare. Back in January, my skin was awful. I couldn't tell if it was just the weather causing the dryness and breakouts or if something I was using on my face was the culprit. I also felt like my makeup wasn't going on like it used to. If your skin isn't happy, your makeup definitely won't look as good either. So, I threw out pretty much everything in my old skincare routine and started fresh! My new skincare regimen started with the great moisturizer hunt of 2018 that I shared on this post. Keeping reading today to see which of those moisturizers made the cut and to see what else I added in to my beauty friendly skincare routine. Yes, everything is budget friendly which makes it even better!

But before I get started, I do want to note that my skin is normal to dry and fairly sensitive. This is a quick summary of my routine and then I'll share more details about each product and how I use them:

Nighttime Routine | micellar cleansing water, moisturizing cold cream cleanser, serum, eye repair cream, moisturizer, and facial spray.

Morning Routine | rinse face with water, serum, moisturizer, and facial spray after applying makeup.

I have been using this micellar water for a few months now and it's my go-to for removing my makeup. I add a little bit to a cotton round and it does an excellent job removing my makeup. I wear quite a bit of eye makeup and it gets it off without irritating my eyes. No matter how tired I am at night, I always take off my makeup and this product makes it easy.

This cleanser is also a part of my nighttime routine. After I remove my makeup with the micellar water, I follow up with this moisturizing cleanser. It does a great job of leaving my skin feeling super clean and removes any makeup that I might have missed.

I shared this serum about a month ago in my most recent beauty haul post. After using it twice a day for a month, I can definitely say that it brightens and tightens your skin, just as it says it does. Plus, it smells light freshly cut roses! I just use a small drop all over my face at night and in the morning before applying my moisturizer.

This might be the first eye cream that I have ever purchased and I don't know why! I have always struggled with dark circles and puffiness under my eyes. I've been using this eye repair cream for three weeks and I can already tell a difference. After the first couple of times that I used it, I could already notice that the puffiness had gone down. So far, I am loving this! I apply a small amount to my fingertip and gently pat it underneath my eyes. I use this after my serum and before my moisturizer every night.

The winner of my favorite moisturizer is this renewing collagen and elastin moisturizer! I typically buy this at Walmart and it's so cheap! I am on my second container since February and I love this product so much. I actually use it as all-over moisturizer because I love the texture and how it makes my skin feel. I use this every morning and every night.

I discovered this facial spray back in January and it's been a steady part of my skincare routine ever since. I love using the rosewater scent as a setting spray after I put my makeup on and I also use it to refresh my makeup during the day. I love the lavender scent to spray on my face after I moisturize at night. I think this product is also going to be great for keeping my skin feeling hydrated during the summer while we are spending time outdoors in the sunshine.

Thank you so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
