Camo and Leopard Pattern Mixing

how to pattern mix, north carolina blogger, style on a budget, mom style, fall fashion

Happy Thursday! I have shared a lot of my tips and tricks for getting dressed here on the blog over the past few years. Today, I wanted to share another tip for getting the most of our your purchases. I have been loving the camo trend this season on other people but I honestly just wasn't sure if I could pull it off for myself. I saw this jacket online and loved the muted tones of the camo. The lighter colors and the cut of the jacket made the camo print look a little more feminine. I ended up ordering the jacket but I didn't take the tags off of it until I could come up with at least three different ways to wear it. I actually still had the tags on the jacket in this blog post, lol!

Below is the first idea I had for wearing the jacket: mixing camo and leopard.

I absolutely love pattern mixing and this just might be my new favorite mix of patterns! I love how the camo and leopard look together. I also think this outfit combination makes the camo look so much more feminine, especially with the faux suede mini skirt. I added a basic black tee that I knotted, simple jewelry, and a black tote to make this flat lay come to life.

I also shared another way to style this camo jacket in yesterday's Instagram Roundup, where I paired it with a bright pop of pink and boyfriend jeans for an easy, casual look. I have so many more ideas for how to wear this jacket so I popped the tags and it's definitely staying in my closet. It's going to be a piece that gets a ton of wear this fall and winter!
