southern + preppy
There ain't nothing in the world like a Southern preppy girl is the absolute truth! Southern girls love our sweet tea, monograms, and blessing hearts.
Southern Girl Prep sent me this super comfy top, adorable stickers, and a fun koozie for fall fun. I have literally worn this t-shirt once a week since it came in the mail. It fits true to size and goes perfectly with skinny jeans and Hunter boots. Add a monogrammed necklace + pearls and you're all set.

sunday snaps
#sundaysnaps | week in review
Rain in the forecast always means Hunter rainboots. They definitely came in handy this week!

Olivia loves to pose with the Old Navy mannequins when we go in. She insists that I take her picture with them and calls the girl mannequins her "girlfriends." She cracks me up!
Right now I am loving Chipotle! We can get real food for such a great price there. Olivia and I ate lunch for about $10- which is about the same cost of a gross fast food restaurant meal for the two of us. The chicken bowl loaded with deliciousness is my favorite.
Instead of Halloween costumes, the kindergartner's at Julianna's school dressed as their favorite character from Letterland {their alphabet + phonics problem}. Julianna chose to be Vicky Violet. Isn't she adorable?!
I also volunteered at Julianna's school {with Olivia} to help with the Dan the Animal Man presentation. I helped hold this crazy big snake and held it's held. Not my favorite thing to do but I'll pretty much do anything for my kiddos... I just might not like it. Haha.
How sweet is this moment?! The girls fell asleep on our way to dinner downtown so Josh carried them down the street to the restaurant because they were still so tired. Such an amazing daddy and sweet, sweet man. Love him so much!
Last night the girls dressed as a witches for Halloween and I was their black cat. Josh dressed up as a scary monster and it was just that- scary! We went downtown for the Halloween festivities and a few houses in our neighborhood. The girls got so much candy! As they went to bed, Josh and I collected our candy tax for the fifth year. We had to make sure it was safe + we had to get our fair share of the goodies!
And he answered, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself.”

october favorites
Today is the last day of October and exactly two weeks until my birthday... the big 3-0! I seriously can't believe I'll be thirty until I look in the mirror and see those wrinkles. Ha. At least my outfits are put together and my head is cut off in these pictures.
In all seriousness, I am so thankful for November and all of the joy it brings me each year. I love fall, my birthday, Thanksgiving, and decorating for Christmas {on Black Friday and not before}.
Happy Halloween, y'all!

groopdealz
I was never much of online shopper until I discovered Groopdealz a couple of years ago. Groopdealz offers so many adorable and affordable items from a variety of different boutiques. I was an avid shopper before they switched to being Eleventh Avenue and then they were Eleventh Avenue and Groopdealz all at the same time. So confusing. So I was excited to hear today that they are back to just being Groopdealz with the amazing daily deals that I have always loved. In honor of this I'm sharing a few of my favorite deals for today:

rainy day ready
I got my first pair of Hunter Boots from Costco a couple of years ago. I love them but they weren't the ones that I had always wanted. But they were way less than the regular retail price so I got them. I've always wanted a pair of glossy gray Hunters. I think they are worth the splurge because they keep my feet so warm and dry through the rainy, icy, and snowy North Carolina days. They really came in handy the past two days during non-stop rain and cloudy skies.
Most people would be surprised that my favorite color to purchase is actually gray. The gray section of my closet is the largest {yes, I color coordinate my closet and I love it}. I love pink and red... and all the bright colors but gray is my go-to. It's just easy. But don't worry, I'll always find a way to add a pop of color to my gray outfit.
