Happy Thursday! I've been a mom for almost eight years now (...and I can't believe my oldest daughter will be turning eight next month) so I feel like I finally might have this mom uniform concept perfected. I constantly use the phrase "mom uniform" over on Instagram when I am describing my daily outfits so here's my definition:

Mom Uniform: a comfortable yet put together outfit that allows a mother to complete all of her mom duties in style.

The most important thing about a mom uniform is that it is fuss free. What I mean when I say that is that you are pulling or tugging on anything (because that's just annoying) and you also don't need a lot of accessories to make the outfit look put together. A classic mom uniform during this time of year for me is faux leather leggings, a tunic length tee with a cozy cardigan, and comfortable sneakers. But the outfit I'm styling today would be something that I consider to be an amplified mom uniform. The top, jeans, and bag are everyday staples for me so I would wear them comfy shoes for errands but this look becomes amplified and a little more interesting by adding on a denim jacket and leopard ankle boots. A look that can literally take you from day to night.

For me the essential piece of this fuss free amplified mom uniform is this amazing top! I put this top on a Currently Loving post about a year ago and I finally purchased it a few weeks ago. It has been one of my most favorite purchases ever! The soft material washes up perfectly and I love the twist front detail. It does fit true to size but if you prefer a more fitted look, I would size down one size. I can guarantee that you will wear this top non stop, mom or not!
