It Cosmetics CC Cream

Happy Tuesday! A couple of weeks ago, I shared my latest Ulta Beauty Haul, which included the It Cosmetics CC Cream that I have seen so many women rave about. I have been wanting to try this CC Cream for a really long time and I love that it contains SPF because I'm all about protecting my skin. I've heard great things about it but the full size version is $38. Spending that much on a small tube of makeup seems like an investment to me and I really want to make sure I love something before I spend that much money. So, I decided to get the travel size that is about half the size and half the price to give it a try before I purchase the full size product. I do this anytime a smaller size is available before committing to spending $30+ on a beauty product.

I have been using this CC cream for over a week now so I feel like I can give it a fair review based on my experience. Prior to trying this CC cream, I was using a budget friendly BB cream that I loved. The difference between the two is that a CC cream has way more skin benefits plus this particular CC cream has SPF like I mentioned above.

Before applying, I moisturized my face as I normally would for my skin type. A little goes a long way with this CC cream so I used a small amount to apply an even layer to my skin using my hands. I would describe the coverage as medium. It definitely gives you way more coverage than a BB cream but not quite as much as a regular foundation. For me, I found the level of coverage to be exactly what I was looking for. Next, I applied my favorite concealer, powder, bronzer, blush, and highlighter as normal.

Pros:  This CC cream lasted all day for me. I know other people have said that it wore off during the day but with a setting powder, it should last all day long. I have also noticed an improvement in my skin tone since I started using this product. I'm sure it's because of the anti-aging peptides, hydrolyzed collagen, vitamins and antioxidants that are found in this little tube of magic. This product also comes in an illuminating version that gives your skin an extra glow. I definitely plan to use this during the summer during a quick makeup look for days at the beach or pool. Also, like I already mentioned, a little goes a long way so this product will last awhile.

Cons: The price is probably the biggest con for me. However, I do think it's worth the money. Another con is the smell. It does have kind of a strange smell to it but I only notice it during application. Lastly, I wish this product came in a wider variety of color options. I feel like my winter skin is somewhere in between the fair and light so that's why I'm careful about how much I apply so that it doesn't look too dark.

Overall verdict, it's a keeper! When I finish the travel size, I definitely plan to purchase the full size!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day!
