fashion: polka dots + a seahorse

While on vacation, I did a little shopping and scored some really cute items from the outlets for amazing prices. This skirt and this top were two of my finds. I've always loved polka dots and seahorses are becoming a favorite of mine too.

fashion: summer uniform

My summer uniform consists of my chambray sleeveless shirts from Wal-Mart (only $7) and printed shorts because I have quite the growing collection of them. I love a fun pair of shorts. 

I walked 3 miles around the mall today (with different shoes) with Olivia while Julianna was at VBS. She did ok and hopefully tomorrow will be better for her. She isn't a fan of breakfast and wouldn't eat before she went today. Usually she's ok because she has a snack around 9:30 at home but the didn't have snack until much later and she just couldn't keep herself together. I'm the same way. I get "hangry" when I haven't eaten. I'm hoping to get her to eat tomorrow but if not, I'm packing a snack for her to eat when she gets hungry. She loves VBS so much and I want her to enjoy this week there.

fashion: dots + sailboats

Dots and sailboats. I wanted something comfortable to wear today so I pulled out this comfy tee from SaSea Decor and my orange polka dotted shorts. It's another extra warm Spring day here in North Carolina so being comfortable and cool is a necessity. How fun are these shorts?! I am loving patterned shorts this season!

fashion: polka dots + converses

Monday mornings come to soon. 6:30 am and I hear a little voice come into my room. "Mommy! The sun is up!" That's my alarm clock. She never fails. She's always on time to wake me up. We woke up to beautiful sunshine and amazing temperatures. It's a gorgeous Spring day! Julianna went to preschool and Olivia and I ran errands- that included a stop at Central Bakery to make Monday just a little bit sweeter. Have a great day!

fashion: dots + arm candy

Yesterday's outfit was all about comfort and arm candy. Don't those pink bracelet look like candy?! I love them. They were the perfect pop of color to brighten up this outfit. I grocery shopped, ran errands, visited my grandma, mopped up half a gallon of milk I spilled on my kitchen floor, completed one of my part-time jobs (sorting and packing coupons to be mailed for my family's business), cleaned the rest of the kitchen, and went out for pizza and ice cream with the family all in this outfit. It was comfortable for a busy Friday!

beauty: mommyhood + Forever 21 finds

Mommy life isn't always glamorous and today was an example of that. I had a $6 gift on the Wrapp app for H&M. Since I was close to the mall running errands this morning, I decided to go ahead and use it. I got two items there for less than $5 and then we were headed to Forever 21. We had to go down the escalator to get there and this isn't usually a problem for Julianna. I was holding Olivia when Julianna stepped on. As soon as she stepped on, she tripped and fell down. Such a scary mommy moment. She cut her knee but otherwise was thankfully ok. We headed to the security office because I figured they had a first aid kit available. We got her all cleaned up and then went to Forever 21. All was well in there until I had to sit Olivia down to get my wallet out. In a matter of 3 seconds, she opens up a bottle of neon orange nail polish and makes an artistic mess. The good news is Julianna is ok and Olivia is now a nice shade of orange. Oh and I did make it out of there with some new pretty things. I got the makeup bag to organize my purse. Yesterday at church I realized I didn't have any sort of compact or brush in my purse so I fixed that today, too. 

Oh mommyhood, you weren't glamorous today but these pretty things sure are. Happy Monday!
