Father's Day 2012

Josh celebrated his first Father's Day as the daddy of two beautiful little girls! First, we dedicated Olivia to the church. It was a special celebration and we are so very thankful for our church.

Josh and Olivia after she was dedicated.
After church, Julianna gave Josh his Father's Day gifts. A bottle of cologne from mommy, a picture plaque from all 3 of us, and an art creation by Julianna. He loved all of his gifts!

Josh continued his Father's Day by going to a Greensboro Grasshoppers baseball game with my dad, my brother, and my brother's two little boys. Josh brought home a souvenir hat for Julianna.

Happy Father's Day to a wonderful husband and a fabulous father!

take me out to the ballgame

To further celebrate Julianna being 15 months old... and YES, we celebrate EVERYTHING at the Soto house! Well, at least I do. Every happy thing is meant to be celebrated. We took Julianna with us to go to an Asheboro Copperheads baseball game. We met up with John and Amanda. We were concerned about bringing her because the game started at 7pm, Julianna's normal bedtime. To our surprise, she did GREAT! She had a wonderful time dancing to the music, talking to new people, and just taking in the sights. We stayed until after 9pm and then put her straight to be when we got home. She's actually still in bed as I type. 12 hours and counting. Her 15 month day of celebrating wore baby girl out!

And a picture from Julianna's first baseball game last year...

apparently juju is a baseball fan

josh and i met up with our friends, john and amanda to take julianna to her very first baseball game. we went to see the copperheads play at mccrary park. before we left for the game, i was worried that taking her with us was going to be a diaster. pretty much every night between 7pm and 9pm, julianna has her colicky time and nothing will soothe her. this was the time when we would be at the game so i just knew she was going to fuss the whole time. well, i was wrong!!!

i don't believe she let out one cry the entire time we were there (6:40pm-9:40pm)! she was very content- either sleeping or looking around. she must have enjoyed the loud music and all of the other sounds around her. so we'll probably be going to another game soon. we all had a great time... even though the copperheads lost.

now we've got to run errands and finish packing 'cause we're going to the beach tomorrow!!!!
