Leopard Print Dress

style on a budget, mom style, north carolina blogger, leopard print dress, fall fashion, what to buy for fall

Hey y'all! Earlier this week, I shared my October purchases and this leopard print dress was one of the items that I invested in last month. It honestly was way more money than I typically spend on a dress. But, I've gotten tired of spending more on "disposable clothes" and I had been on the hunt for a great quality, leopard print dress. I also thought that it could definitely work across the seasons:

In the fall with a cardigan and ankle boots.

In the winter with a chunky sweater layered on top and over the knee boots.

In the spring with mules and a denim jacket.

In the summer on it's on with strappy sandals.

I love finding pieces that work for multiple seasons so that I can really get my money's worth out of it! I also love being able to already think of multiple ways to style it so that it's not something that just hangs in my closet and never gets worn. This dress fits true to size but I sized up one size when I purchased it because I wanted a relaxed style.

Today's look is how I would (and did) style it for fall weather. I wore this outfit this past Saturday, when the temperatures were in the upper 50s, low 60s. But honestly, this outfit almost didn't happen. I knew I wanted to wear the dress with a cardigan and ankle boots but adding the socks was a little out of comfort zone. I tried it on then immediately took the socks off and switched them out for lower cut socks. I was afraid of looking silly even though I really loved this style on other people. I'm glad I decided to switch back because I love how the black socks pulled the black in my dress together plus it kept me warmer. Yes to stepping out of our comfort zones!
