Hey y'all! I hope your week is off to a great start! Today, I'm going to recap this past weekend and share what we did and of course, what we ate! During the weekend, we try to soak up as much fun and family time as possible. I love making memories with my people!
1. S A L I S B U R Y | A day trip to Salisbury, North Carolina has been on our to-do list for a few months now. Two of our favorite craft beers that we have tried are made in Salisbury so we wanted to make a visit to those breweries and check out the downtown area.
Our first stop was Morgan Ridge Railwalk which is a restaurant and a brewery. We heard the food was really good so we planned our day around arriving at 1pm for lunch. The food did not disappoint! My husband and I shared three small plates and the girls had the macaroni and cheese. We sampled each of their beers and they were all delicious (and unique!)
Salisbury has a great artsy vibe and I loved all of the paintings downtown. This particular one was my very favorite! I love the colors!
Our second brewery stop was New Sarum. They brew my absolute favorite blood orange beer so I was excited to sample of their other beers. They were all really good as well! Also, both of these breweries in Salisbury were very family friendly, which is super important to us.
We took a walk around downtown to take in the sights and sounds of the town. We watched the train roll through, a wedding about to begin, and we discovered that Salisbury is the birthplace of Cheerwine, a delicious cherry flavored soda!
2. S H O P P I N G | After we explored Salisbury, we headed to Greensboro for some shopping. Of course, I had to make a stop at Target. I grabbed my favorite drink at Starbucks, which is the strawberry refresher with coconut milk. Delicious and pretty!
Every time I come to Target, I stare at this painting. I really just need to go ahead and buy it for our living room. The colors would be perfect!
I wanted to walk through Anthropologie and Olivia was the only one who was willing to join me. She absolutely loved the place and kept saying it was the prettiest store ever... and I agree!
I also ran into Loft to see this leopard print skirt in person and it was absolutely gorgeous! I would say it fits true to size and it's a great piece for fall.
3. F O O D | Our weekends usually revolve around food, lol. During the week, we only eat at home so on the weekend, I always look forward to eating at some of my favorite places and trying new ones. Mythos Grill in Greensboro has the very best Greek food! I can't get enough.
After church on Sunday, we went by one of our favorite local places (America's Roadhouse Express) and Josh's plate was probably the biggest plate I have ever seen at a restaurant. So much food and it was delicious!
On Sunday afternoon, we decorated Halloween cookies with Josh's twin brother and his family. The kiddos had so much fun and the cookies turned out super cute.
Thanks so much for stopping by today! I hope you have a wonderful day!
S H O P T H E P O S T:
Looks like such a fun & delicious weekend!!
