Three Things From The Weekend

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a great weekend! Fall weather finally arrived and it made this weekend even more enjoyable. Low humidity and sixty degrees makes this North Carolina girl very happy! We enjoyed lots of fun family time as usual over the weekend so today, I'm sharing three things from the weekend! Our weekdays are super busy so we try to squeeze in as much fun as possible on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

P U M P K I N  L A T T E S  A N D  P U M P K I N  P A I N T I N G | We started our weekend off right with dinner at The Table. I'm pretty sure this was our very first time ever eating dinner there even though I go there weekly for coffee and we also grab desserts there pretty often. It definitely did not disappoint! My husband and I split the grass fed burger and a harvest chicken salad. Delicious!

I also had to get a pumpkin spice latte while we were there because I usually just get a plain black coffee while I'm there because it usually falls in my fasting hours. You can read more about my intermittent fasting journey in this post. First of all, the latte art was incredible! How cute is that little pumpkin on top?! But secondly, it was delicious. Dare I say that it was way better than Starbucks?! Yes, it definitely was! 

After dinner, we headed to church for pumpkin painting! We enjoyed a couple hours of creative fun with our church family. The weather was perfect! I was even able to decorate my own fancy pumpkin. It was so much fun!

T A R G E T  A N D  L O W  C O U N T R Y  B O I L | Our Saturday mornings always start slow because it's the one morning a week that I sleep in. My husband is pretty amazing and lets me sleep until at least eight AM because he knows I need my sleep. We also use our slow mornings to catch up on some housekeeping. The girls vacuumed for the first time this weekend and they actually did a pretty good job! When we finally got ourselves together, we went to Hops Burger Bar for a delicious lunch. All of their food is amazing, every time!

After lunch, we headed to Target to pick up some items we needed and get jeans for the girls. While we were there, Josh filmed an overdue festive Target try on session. He keeps us laughing!

Every year, for one of our friend's birthdays, we get together for a low country boil. Corn on the cob, shrimp, sausage, potatoes, and lots of butter! It's so good! We finished off an amazing meal with s'mores by the bonfire. Again, the weather was literally perfect for this!

S U N D A Y  F U N D A Y | I serve at least two Sundays a month on my church's worship team. I run ProPresenter which basically means I keep anything on the screens rolling... from lyrics, to videos, and sermon notes. I have to be there at seven AM so my Sunday started early yesterday. I always try to pick out my outfit the night before because I am not a morning person and it's some kind of miracle that I even make it there on time. But surprisingly, I got there five minutes early today! This leopard sweater, cami, and straight leg jean combo was put together and comfy.

After church, we went to one of our local favorites, The Flying Pig, for chili and salad. We literally go there at least once a week because we love the food, the atmosphere, and the awesome staff. 

After lunch, we grabbed groceries and then spent the rest of the afternoon doing just what you see below... relaxing! We rented a Red Box movie and snuggled up on the couch. Some afternoons, just require relaxation, don't you agree?!
