additions to the nursery

Josh and I have been trying to decide on a dresser/changing table for over a month now. We got our crib on clearance at Babies"R"Us at a great price so there wasn't a dresser/changer available to go with it because the line had been discontinued. But since the crib was black, we figured that we would be able to find something to go with it. Well... searching online, I found tons of great options that I really liked but they were soooooo expensive! We're getting ready to have a baby, we don't have a lot of extra money! So we just kept waiting and were going to get one with our tax money.

But a few days ago, I felt inspired to search on Craigslist. I have never purchased anything from anyone on there but I guessed it was worth a shot. I looked and looked and could never find just the right thing. I had sent a few e-mails because I was at the point of settling for something and we could just paint it or refurbish it to get the right look.

Then I decided to expand my search to the Charlotte area (instead of just Greensboro and Winston-Salem) and I found a few listings. One of those was a black dresser/changing table... it was actually one of the ones that we had been looking at buying online! Online we were looking at $300.00 but the seller on Craigslist was selling hers for $75.00! It goes great with the crib we got at Babies"R"Us! Needless to say, I jumped on it and now it's a wonderful addition to our nursery:

Our laundry basket and the giraffe nightlight I got at the Fall Festival this year. His body is made out of a cononut.

Artwork that we got at Home Goods.

Today the kids don't have school but I have a teacher workday. At least I don't have to go in until 10! After school, I have a doctor's appointment at the OB/GYN. Now it's time for breakfast: waffles with strawberries on top!
