This past Friday night, we went to Christmas on Sunset. It's a fun Christmas celebration downtown. Local businesses open up to show off their goods and services. There's also carriage rides and Santa! We took this opportunity for Julianna to meet Santa since she's been talking non-stop about him. I thought for sure that she would want to sit on Santa's lap to tell him what she wanted for Christmas. We waited in line for about 30 minutes and she was so excited. We finally get up to Santa and she won't sit on his lap. Screamed and clung onto daddy. But she did very clearly ask Santa for "rocket chips" (rocket ships) and candies. Sweet little Olivia did sit on Santa's lap but she wouldn't look at that camera. We had a fun family night!

date night
Now that Josh and I are parents, we rarely have a date night. But when we do, it's always a lot of fun! My parents took Julianna for the afternoon/evening on Saturday. They took her out to eat and they did some shopping.
We finished up some Father's Day shopping and then got some frozen yogurt. Headed home and watched a movie together during the middle of the day... that doesn't happen when baby is home! Our power went out minutes after the movie was over so we headed out for dinner then. We had such a relaxing dinner. It was nice to not have to share my dinner and cut it up into smaller pieces for a one year old. It's nice to have a break from baby duty dinners.
After dinner, we wondered around downtown. Our first stop was the park where we got married:
Then the trains and railroad tracks...
Then we wondered around downtown to find the fun artwork and other pretty stuff...
What a fantastic night with my love! :)
