My Budget Friendly Skincare Routine

budget friendly skincare, drug store beauty, skincare, nc blogger, north carolina blogger
Happy Monday! I hope you had a great weekend! I haven't updated my skincare routine here on the blog in almost two years so I felt like today was a great day to do that. I also noticed within the past two years, I have changed up a lot of my skincare products. But one that has stayed the same: my entire skin care routine is budget friendly! You can totally find great skincare products that don't break the bank. Before I get started, I do want to mention that this routine works for my particular skin type, which is normal/dry, sensitive, and prone to eczema. My eczema has been so much worse than it's ever been this past year or so and my latest routine has got it under control!

Like I mentioned above, I have really sensitive skin so I've always had a hard time finding a face wash that didn't irritate my skin and actually cleansed it well. I bought this one almost a year ago and it's the only one I've used seen! This is such a great product if you have eczema like I do. It's a sensitive formula and doesn't burn your eyes, like some face washes do. I highly recommend!

A facial oil was something that was missing from my old skincare routine. This oil is a blend of Rosehip, Jojoba, and Evening Primrose. It leaves my skin feeling so hydrated! A facial oil, like this one, is a great addition to your skincare routine if you have dry, dull skin or if you are considered with wrinkles. This product will leave your skin looking radiant! I even have my husband using it! After I cleanse my skin, I apply this facial oil, morning and night.

This has been my go-to moisturizer for at least a decade! I have tried other products here and there but I always come back to this one. It's super important to use a daytime moisturizer that has sunscreen in it! I really love this one for my sensitive skin. You can't beat the price! I apply my moisturizer after my facial oil.

I have been currently using this Pond's moisturizer at night. I love the way it makes my skin feel and it totally works for my sensitive skin! If my skin feels extra dry, I also keep this moisturizer on hand for an extra boost of moisture. I also use a moisturizer after my facial oil at night.

Don't forget your lips when it comes to skincare! This lip mask is $20 but it goes a long way! I started using it back in January and I have used it at least once or twice a day since I got it. The pot is still about half full so a product that lasts a long time is also a budget friendly product to me. This lip masks makes your lips feel amazing and cures even the most chap lips. I will always have this product in my skincare lineup!

So, these facial razors are a game changer! I use one all over my entire face about once a week to remove the "peach fuzz" and to clean up my brows. I like to use it after washing my face so that my face isn't dry. Then I rinse my face again and apply products. I have shared these before and I always get asked if they cut you and I can say that they have never cut me. Just be careful, of course!

I love this hydrating facial mist! I use it on my beauty blender before apply my concealer and I also love using it to set my makeup. It's also great for applying a spritz or two after you do your skincare routine. I love the way this one smells, too!

One of my biggest tips for skincare is to take your makeup off every night! It's incredibly tempting to just jump into bed when you are tired at the end of the day. But, at least taking off your makeup, will help take care of your skin! I really love this micellar water and it's really the only thing I have used over the past couple of years to remove my makeup. I wear a pretty thick layer of mascara and it takes it off with no problem. I use a round cotton pad for makeup remover but you could also use a soft wash cloth as well.

And, next up is a face mask. I used to spend tons of money on fancy face masks but not anymore. I mix this clay with apple cider vinegar for a great cleansing mask that leaves my skin feeling so refreshed. It's great for removing oil, dirt, and makeup that gets built up in your pores. I don't really measure but a little goes a long way so just mix the clay with a little apple cider vinegar until you get thick consistently (you don't want it to be too runny). You know what else I use this for? My underarms! Daily deodorant use causes a ton of build up in the pores under your arms so it's also important to give your armpits a detox so that they can breathe again, lol! Your deodorant will be more effective if you detox about once a month.

Last up is my favorite body moisturizer. My dry, sensitive, eczema prone skin absolutely loves this body cream! It's so soothing and moisturizing. I cover my body in this at least once a day! I have to use this on my hands every single night before I can go to sleep. It's amazing!

Thank you so much for visiting! I hope you have a great day!
