Puerto Rico Travel Diary Day 5 & 6

Hey y'all! I'm back to sharing more about our trip to Puerto Rico. Back in June, we packed up and flew to Puerto Rico for the trip of a lifetime. In case you missed it, this was the girls first time flying and we stayed with Josh's grandmother. So many firsts! You can read more about the background story about this trip in my first travel diary post here.

Day four in Puerto Rico was a dedicated beach day for us because honestly, we were just tired. After walking all around Old San Juan and then exploring El Yunque National Forest, we needed a day of pure relaxation. We wanted to go to Crash Boat Beach since we had heard it was a great one so that was really our only play for day five in Puerto Rico. Crash Boat Beach is located in Aguadilla.

We stayed at Crash Boat for a little while but we loved Jobos Beach so much that we packed up and headed back there to spend the rest of the day. This was our third visit to Jobos! We had a lot of fun... until the storms rolled in. We waited it out for awhile and stayed in the water while it was raining. But, once the lightning came, we packed up. Since our beach day got rained out, we headed back to Jobos Beach for the fourth time on day six. Thankfully, the weather on day six was much prettier! Lots of sunshine and seashells.

We also had our first experience trying limbers, which is an icy, frozen treat that is typically filled with fruit juice and fruits. I tried the mixed fruit but my husband is always the adventurous one. He had the corn one! I tasted it but I wasn't a fan of the corn. My mixed fruit was way better!

We had a traditional Puerto Rico lunch on the beach. There was a little food place super close by so we got to try more fritters and mofongo balls.

After all that fried food for lunch, we opted for a healthier dinner. We went to the cutest açaí bowl place that was just minutes away from Josh's grandmother's house. It was delicious!
