grown up dress up

“Playing dress-up begins at age five and never truly ends.”
― Kate Spade

For me, this quote is completely accurate. As a little girl, I always LOVED dressing up. But not exactly in the sense that you may be thinking. I never really had any princess dresses or plastic shoes. When I got young, my grandma had a box of her old clothing, shoes, and accessories in her spare bedroom. I remember my cousin and I spending hours changing in and out of the items in that box and in my grandma's closet. We would strut our stuff down the hallway and my grandma always told us how beautiful we looked in her old belongings. I would also raid my mom's closet to try on her shoes or carry her purses. Even at the age of two, I was already stealing my mom's fancy shoes.

So from those red to my current lace up red shoes, I've always adored fun shoes! This outfit felt so feminine and ballerina-like. I love flowy tops, lacy details, and comfort... I always want to be comfortable! This is that sweater than I own in two colors that I wear at least once a week. When you love something, buy it in every color and dress up because grown ups can play dress up too... I do it everyday!
