Ivy and Leo

Hey there and Happy Monday! We got our first snow of the season here in North Carolina. I'm not certain of the exact amount we got but I would say it was between 5-6 inches where I live. My town kind of shuts down when we get this kind of weather because we're just not equipped for it since it's not typical. It's supposed to be close to seventy degrees by the weekend! But school is out today because it's way below freezing and no signs of this pretty snow melting away just yet.

Today, I am so excited to share this dressy little look with y'all! I honestly rarely have the opportunity to truly dress up because I'm a mom and a teacher. My clothing needs to be functional and fairly practical on a daily basis. So when it comes to getting ready for a date night or church on Sunday, I love to throw on a little extra sparkle for the occasion. I've dressed up this gorgeous lavender shawl vest from Ivy & Leo, an affordable boutique based out of Charlotte, North Carolina!

I love the versatility of this shawl vest! It can be worn as a draped vest, a cozy shawl, or belted as a top. I've dressed it up in all black, including faux leather leggings with a statement necklace but it would also be perfect with jeans, ankle boots, and long sleeve striped tee. I also think it would be absolutely adorable layered over a little black dress dress! So many possibilities and it's under $30!
