Currently Loving

currently loving, gift ideas for women, style on a budget, mom style, north carolina blogger

Hey y'all and Happy Friday! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday! I did get most of my shopping done yesterday, especially for my nieces and nephews. I'm the aunt that gets everyone new pajamas for Christmas every single year. It's so hard to stay up to date on what everyone has and what they are currently into so pajamas are just the way to go, especially when you are buying for 13 children! Today, we are on our way to South Carolina for a post-Thanksgiving weekend with my husband's dad. I'm excited for even more great food and fun!

I'm rounding up eight items that I am currently loving. While you're getting your Christmas shopping done, be sure to treat yourself to something cozy!

1. White Sweater | I tried this sweater on in the store the other day and I absolutely love it! I'll be adding this one to my shopping cart. I love the details! I personally will size up one size to wear it with leggings because a sweater you can wear with leggings is my favorite!

2. Blush Scarf | I own this scarf and I love it! It's seriously so soft and warm without being suffocating, lol. I also love this blush pink color!

3. Classic Heels | A few weeks ago, I was getting ready to attend a wedding and I realized that I didn't own a classic pair of black heels. I will be fixing that problem with this gorgeous pair of heels. They are so classic and super comfortable! They run true to size.

4. Frayed Hem Jeans | This is my current favorite pair of jeans! I love the frayed hemline and the comfortable fit. The sizing is true to size.

5. Chenille Sweater | This sweater is also on it's way to my shopping cart! I have been looking for the perfect pink pullover chenille sweater and this one is definitely it. I have been loving all things chenille this season!

6. Faux Fur Coat | This beautiful coat is less than $40 and I love the color! It's not really something I would typically pick but I was drawn to it when I saw it in the store. The faux fur is super soft!

7. Pom Pom Hat | Every woman needs a cozy pom pom hat for the winter season. This would also make a great gift for a friend at under $8!

8. Embellished Cardigan | Give me all of the cardigans! I love this because of the embellished details and you can just never go wrong with a gray cardigan! I plan to get this for myself as soon as possible.

Thank you so much for visiting! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Statement Earrings for Less

north carolina blogger, style on a budget, sugarfix by baublebar, mom style, holiday jewelry

Happy Thanksgiving! I hope your agenda for the day includes lots of family time, an abundance of pie, and a good pair of stretchy pants! I absolutely love this time of year! Yesterday, my oldest daughter and I got to have a mommy/daughter date to do a little shopping. Getting to spend one on one time with my kids is so special. Sometimes I can miss how their personalities are developing because I see them as a unit instead of as individuals sometimes if that makes sense. I loved the chance to talk and be silly with Julianna because she gets my sarcastic personality and corny jokes. She literally danced her way through every store we went in and was such a great companion. She helped me pick out the most perfect pre-lit rose gold Christmas tree at Wal-Mart... it was only $20 which was at least a hundred dollars less than the one I loved at Target. We also created our own festive wreath for our front door for around $10. Such a fun and productive date with my daughter!

Now that the holidays are in full swing, I am craving glitter and lots of sparkle! My favorite way to add a little glitz to my look is through statement earrings! This earring set from the SugarFix by BaubleBar collection at Target is the perfect way to affordably not one but two great pairs of statement earrings to your holiday wardrobe for only $20! I personally cannot wear heavy earrings so I was so excited that these are lightweight whiles still making a sparkly statement. These earrings can instantly jazz up jeans and a sweater as well as your little black dress!

Instagram Roundup

instagram roundup, style on a budget, mom style, casual style, fall fashion, north carolina blogger

Happy Wednesday! I hope your week is off to a great start! Yay for short weeks that end with lots of delicious food and shopping! I am planning to do all of my Christmas shopping online this weekend. My holiday shopping is actually a whole lot simpler this year since our gift to each other is our trip to Disney! I have been shifting gift giving towards experiences with my children because enjoying places as a family is just way better than tripping over toys any day for me!

Today, I'm rounding up outfits from Instagram last week. I have been incorporating quite a few pieces from last year's winter wardrobe. I am loving adding back in cozy sweaters and boots!

DIFF Eyewear and Feminine Camo

diff charitable eyewear, black friday sale, style on a budget, north carolina blogger, mom style

Hey y'all! Today, I'm so excited to share with y'all again an eyewear company that makes a difference, one pair of glasses at a time. DIFF Eyewear donates a pair of reading glasses to a person in need for every pair of sunglasses they sell. They partner with several organizations to make this happen, including Eyes on Africa, Restoring Vision, and Svosh. They are also able to provide vision care to communities who don't have access to care. How amazing is that?!

DIFF sent me this gorgeous pair of Scout Light Gunmetal Sunglasses with Green Polarized Lens to share their mission. These sunglasses are high quality, polarized, and adorable! Polarized sunglasses are a game changer for my sensitive eyes. Such a great pair of sunglasses! I also wanted to give y'all a heads about their amazing Black Friday sale (the biggest one they've ever had) that will be starting this Thursday evening and running through next Monday night!

Buy One Pair, 30% off your order (excludes new styles & licensing)
Buy Two Pairs, 40% off your order (excludes new styles & licensing)
Buy Three Pairs, 50% off your order (excludes new styles & licensing)

Also, how amazing are these camo pants?! And they are under $30! I shared them in this Target Try Ons post (you can read all about the fit there) and they are definitely my current favorite pair of pants! I love how the skinny fit makes the camo print more feminine. I paired them with a velvet cami and a cozy cardigan to play in the leaves! This gorgeous fall weather is my favorite!

Budget Friendly Holiday Dresses

budget friendly holiday dreses, party dresses on a budget, what to wear to a holiday party, north carolina blogger, style on a budget

Hey y'all! I hope you had a wonderful weekend! As promise, today is all about budget friendly holiday dresses! All of today's picks are perfect for wearing for a office Christmas party, Thanksgiving dinner, a night out with your best friends to celebrate the holidays, or a New Years Eve soiree. But the best part of these dresses is that they are all way under $40! I tried on six great options and I am sharing some additional options at the end of this post.

You don't have to break the bank to look amazing at your upcoming holiday event this year!

This leopard dress was my top pick and I had to have it! It's such a great versatile dress because it can be dressed up for the holidays (hello, glitter heels) or dressed down for everyday wear with riding boots and a cardigan! It is made out of the softest ponte knit fabric.

Fit: I tried on an extra small because that's the only size they had available in my store. I could have worn the extra small (even though I am no extra small) but I ordered the small online for a more relaxed fit and a little extra length. For reference, I am 5'5". Also, for the glitter heels, if you are in between sizes, I would definitely size down. I'm a true 8.5 and I needed an 8 in these.

I absolutely love fit and flare dresses for the holidays. With a pair of great heels, this style is so pretty on everyone! I also really loved the texture of the fabric.

Fit: I sized up one size to a medium for this dress for a little extra room. The small also would have worked but I like breathing room in my holiday outfits because food, lol. These black heels are a must have timeless pair of shoes! I will also be ordering these, as soon as possible. They are very comfortable and the fit is true to size.

As you know, I am loving all things velvet this season and I'll always love swing dresses! This velvet fabric takes your average swing dress up a notch. Throw on a pair of heels and statement earrings for a comfortable holiday look!

Fit: This dress fits true to size. I'm wearing a small.

This dress was definitely not something I would normally choose but I love the double ruffle detail and the color. Such an elegant dress and I can't believe it's under $30, y'all!

Fit: I tried on a medium but I definitely think the small would have been a better fit for me in this one. I would definitely say this dress runs true to size so stick with your normal size. I often size up in this brand but it wasn't necessary for this gorgeous dress.

I unexpectedly loved this dress! It honestly didn't look like anything much on the hanger but this color is one of my favorites for the holiday season so I decided to give it a try. This shift dress is so flattering and has an adorably classy bow back detail.

Fit: I am wearing a size small in this dress. I found the fit to be very true to size.

This is another super elegant and can you believe it's from Target?! This little black dress is under $30 and has the prettiest lace overlay. I love this one!

Fit: I tried this dress on in a size medium and it was a little roomy on me. I definitely think a small would have been a much better fit in this dress.
