Instagram Roundup

Hey y'all! After a little blogging break, I'm slowly transitioning back into sharing new posts here on the blog. To be honest, I've just been going through a difficult season of parenting and I just needed to step away for a little bit to refocus and recharge. Motherhood is by far the most challenging work I've ever done and it keeps throwing curve balls at me. Nothing can prepare you for the roller coaster ride of emotions that parenting will take you on! If you are going through a hard season of life, just know that you aren't alone. I'm leaning into God and trusting that He's got this!

Today, I'm sharing a little longer than normal Instagram Roundup since I missed sharing last week. I have literally been living in different combinations of black and white. About a year and half ago, I began to simplify my closet. This is obviously an ongoing process but the main thing that I have stuck to is a base of closet staples that are in a similar range of neutral colors. I find that it's just way easier to create outfits and get dressed quickly when everything in your closet works together. I still love pops of pink (always will) but the majority of my wardrobe is black, white, gray, and denim. It's so easy to mix and match! I'm all about making anything easier when I can!

I have always loved polka dot but sometimes they can come off too childish. However, these black and white polka dots are perfect... even for a thirty something mom!

Leopard is my favorite pattern to wear during the fall. I love this dress!

These $15 sunglasses have been getting so much use. I really like the round style!

I wore this outfit to a baseball game a few weeks ago and I loved it. Comfortable and game day appropriate but still feminine with the pop of lace and pearls!

Shorts and cardigans are one of my favorite end of summer combinations.

These sunglasses again.. and a car selfie because I spend a lot of time in my car this time of year. Dropping kids off and picking them up and repeat.

These pieces were my favorite purchases from the month of August. I'm still wearing all of them into September! Those leopard slides are too fun.

This mustard yellow color is one of my favorites for fall. These tees are my favorite and they are only eight dollars! Such a great basic.

We spent the day at Carowinds during Labor Day weekend and we had so much fun! This was our second year going during LDW and we hope to make it a yearly tradition.

This black skirt is a great transitional piece. It's great for the end of summer and moving into fall. I feel like this skirt was the missing piece in my closet!

I recently bought this bag and it's such a classic tote that will last for many years. It's big enough for all of the things! Also, how cute is this leopard print scarf?! I love it tied on my bag!

I found these adorable lace trim camis over the weekend and they are under $15! I had to pick up the blush pink one. The fit is true to size and they come in olive as well.
