Hey y'all! I hope your week is off to a great start! This past weekend, my husband and I were able to take a date weekend to Charlotte, North Carolina. We were long overdue for a date night so we decided to stay in Charlotte the night before we were going to the Carolina Panthers game. My dad owns his own small business, which includes six convenience stores. He is lucky enough to get tickets to almost every Panthers home game and he invited us to join him this time. So since we were kid free on a Saturday night in Charlotte, we decided to explore a new area that we had never been to before.

We went to the NoDa, which is a popular arts district in Charlotte, North Carolina, United States. It is located in the North Charlotte neighborhood on and around North Davidson Street and 36th Street, approximately one mile northeast of Uptown. This neighborhood is full of unique stores, breweries, a theater, restaurants, coffee shops, and more.

We ate at Haberdish (by the recommendation of Mallory from Style Your Senses). Haberdish is a mill town southern kitchen and craft cocktail bar. The food is so fresh and the combinations are delicious! We had the pimento cheese ball, chicken tenders, kale grits, and the sweet potato dumplings. This restaurant is a must if you are ever in the Charlotte area! It's also kid friendly.

We also visited two breweries during our visit. The first one (our favorite) was Salud Cerveceria. We absolutely loved the laid back yet artsy environment and they had a great selection of craft brews. Then we walked down the street Heist Brewery, where the beer is brewed onsite. I loved the industrial setting and the outdoor patio seating.

On Sunday morning, we were able to leisurely get ready for the day (every parent knows how exciting this is) and made a pit stop at Target before heading to the game. I realized while we were eating breakfast that I wasn't going to be able to bring my purse into the game because it was too big. It's been over ten years since we have been to a NFL game so I had completely forgotten about that. Since I had to have something to carry my essentials in, we found the perfect size crossbody at Target for ten dollars and fueled up on some Starbucks (venti pike place roast, three pumps of pumpkin, almond milk, stevia, and a sprinkle of cinnamon and nutmug is my drink of choice right now).

We thankfully had a parking deck pass so we were able to park and walk quickly to the stadium. Our seats were club level so we were able to enjoy some live music and food before the game started. I'm not a huge football fan but I love the energy and atmosphere of a football game. This particular game wasn't super exciting because there were zero touchdowns but the Panthers did come out ahead and won. I hope we will be able to go to another game this season!
