'Tis the season for colorful shoes, fun embellishments, and open toes! I have rounded up nine of my favorite shoe styles for this spring and summer. I probably could have shared a thousand pairs of shoes that I love with y'all because they are so many cute shoes available right now! I am a big shoe fan. I'm a fan of the impractical like those AMAZING pink tassel heels {they also come in five other colors}! They are seriously just too cute and would be perfect to dress up a pair of jeans or wear with your favorite little black dress. And the practical Emily loves a good pair of flat leather sandals like these. Being a busy mom and teacher, I have to have sandals that I can move quickly in but of course, I also like them to be fun! I absolutely love the gorgeous embellishments and they are less than $60 for leather sandals. Too pretty and a great price.  So whether you like to keep it safe in flats or go for a flirty heel, I've got you covered!

I have loved being able to pull out some of my favorite pieces from last spring and summer! The top in the first outfit was one of my favorites from last year and I love remixing it with new items this year. The print isn't available anymore but the style still is! It's a lightweight sweater but the fabric in the front is very breathable and perfect for warm weather. And a big YAY for sandal weather! I have I just love warm weather, can ya tell!? Spring shopping is in full force. I did a lot of shopping last week in celebration of the first day of spring and warmer weather! I added a pair of Tory Burch Millers to my closet. I ordered my normal size but they were just a little small so I exchanged them for a half size bigger. I chose the patent leather in sand because I thought they would be perfect for the beach and pool.
I also added a new pair of sunglasses to my spring wardrobe. I am extremely hard on sunglasses! I never spend more than $20 on a pair because I scratch them, break them, or lose them every time.  This pair from Nordstrom is only $12 and I love the retro look!
Target is my go-to place for a chambray shirt and this one did not disappoint! The material is incredibly soft and it's well made. I also love it's a longer length. I also got this drapey top in another color because I love it so much! It fits loosely in the tummy area but it's fitted at the top. 
My last stop for spring shopping was Old Navy and they have so many adorable items to freshen up your closet! I got these adorable lavender chinos and they are the perfect shade of purple. You can also size down one size in these. I also got this chambray dress and this flutter sleeve pink dress. I love wearing a dress and sandals for an easy look this time of year. The gingham shorts are too cute and are high waisted. They also fit true to size and there's a matching top available as well. I also picked up this blueberry peplum top because the pattern was perfect. I love the way the top fits as well- so flattering! And last but not least, I bought this off the shoulder swing top because my husband loved and I did too.

Sunday Snaps

Look at these pretty passengers from this week. I just LOVE tulips and this bag!

 I helped with Olivia's St. Patrick's Day party at her preschool this week and loved hanging out with her in her class. How cute is she in this hat?!

This sweet girl turned SIX this week! How is that even possible?! It seems like just last week this little lucky charm made her way into the world! She's smart, sassy, and strong willed. She is a talented dancer, loves to sing, and is incredibly creative! Julianna is such a blessing.

I am stocking up on cute swing dresses and pretty prints for spring. I just wish the weather this weekend would have gotten the spring memo! 

On Friday night, we surprised Julianna with our closest family and friends for a birthday party at her favorite pizza place! She had no idea! 

Josh and I ran in the The Human Race 5K this weekend in support of The Dream Center where I work. Even Julianna walked it! I am sore today and clearly not a runner. Lol.

After a 5K, the only thing that makes sense for lunch is chicken and waffles!

These twinning sisters sang with the other children at church this morning in celebration of Palm Sunday. They did a great job! So they took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, crying out, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord, even the King of Israel!" John 12:13

This has been such a busy week so far so I'm just now getting around to sharing yesterday's blog post. We have had the most perfect springlike weather lately but winter is going to try to sneak back in this weekend... when I'm supposed to run a 5K. Hoping for sunshine instead of the cold rain that's predicted! But at least the weather is gorgeous today for my oldest daughter's sixth birthday! I can't believe that I became a mother six years ago. It's been such an exciting journey with lots of surprises, tears, love, and laughs along the way!
