Happy Tuesday! I hope your week is off to a great start! Today is the last day of school! This school year has been filled with fun, growth, learning, challenges, and new experiences. Y’all, having a third grader isn’t for the faint of heart! I thought for sure my experience as a third grade teacher would prepare me for the challenge but nope. Lol. Third grade drama is exhausting! It gets better right, mommas?! Our first grader thankfully had much less drama and grew so much academically. We are thankful for a great first year at a new school! Julianna changes her career path on a weekly basis but right now she wants to be a yoga instructor and Olivia still dreams of being a baby doctor. Now, let’s have the best summer ever! We are trying to squeeze in as much fun as possible because school will be back in session before we know it.

Today, I'm sharing another fun wall mural in Greensboro. This one is located at the BohoBlu headquarters and it's too cute! You can find it at 3718 Old Battleground Rd, Greensboro, NC. This adorable piece of art was painted by the super talented Gina Elizabeth Franco! Hurry and get your picture taken in front of this one because a new mural in coming soon in it's place. 

I wore a few of my favorite closet basics on Saturday for a busy day of running errands and hanging out with my family. You just can't go wrong with a little black dress and leopard sandals! I added my new belt bag (which is so perfect when your dress or skirt doesn't have pockets) to complete the look. When you don't know what to wear, the answer is always little black dress!

Happy Friday! I hope you have all had a great week! Yesterday, I wrapped up my seventh school year at my current job which completes my eleventh year in education. I can't believe it's been 15 years since I graduated from high school! Time seriously flies. 

Today, I'm sharing my weekly roundup of what I'm currently loving. I already own and love a few of these items this week! 

Which of this week's picks is your favorite?!

1. T O T E | Yes, another straw bag because if you don't already have one, you need one! It's the perfect neutral bag for spring and summertime.

2. S U N G L A S S E S | I finally splurged on a good pair of sunglasses and I am loving them so far. Sunglasses are an essential part of my everyday wardrobe so I treated myself!

3. L E O P A R D  S K I R T | I got this skirt in store a few weeks ago so I was super excited to see that it's finally in stock online. It's true to size if you wear it on your natural waist but if you like your skirts to sit a little lower on your hips then size up one size. Such a fun skirt!

4. D E N I M  S K I R T | I own this skirt in a different wash and it's one of my favorite items in my closet. It's definitely a wardrobe staple for me! The fit is true to size.

5. T E E | I am currently loving graphic tees, especially this fun floral one! I love that it comes in a pink option but it's also available in cream too.

6. D R E S S | I can never say no to polka dots! I love this gorgeous and budget friendly dress.

7. B E L T  B A G | For a couple of months, I have been wanting to try a belt bag so I finally went for it while they have been on sale. I wish I would have bought it sooner! It's so great for wearing with skirts and dresses that don't have any pockets. I'm able to fit my iPhone, keys, card wallet, and lip gloss inside of it!

8. S A N D A L S | I wore these all last weekend at the beach and they are comfortable. The perfect pool and beach sandals! I'm a true 8.5 and the 8 was the best fit for me. Plus, they are under $13!

Instagram Roundup

Hey y'all and Happy Wednesday! Our to-do list for this weekend seriously keeps growing. We are trying to get some serious adulting down this week and next before our big trip to Puerto Rico. We have been looking forward to this trip since last November and I can't believe it's almost here! Josh's dad's side of the family is Puerto Rican and his grandmother still lives there. We will staying with her and I can't wait to explore the island for the first time!  

Today, I'm sharing my weekly Instagram Roundup, including outfits from last week and one of our most recent family photos!

A few weeks ago, we had some family pictures taken with Josh's family and this is one of my favorites. I love this little family of mine so much!

I wore this combo at the beach this past weekend. How cute is this top?! It runs a little small so I sized up one size for the best fit. You can read more about our beach trip in this post!

Best jeans ever. I literally wear them at least four times a week! They feel like you're wearing leggings yet they are so incredibly flattering and keep their shape. They are on the pricey side but if you consider cost per wear then they are totally worth it! I sized down one size from my normal denim size for the best fit.

Starbucks pink drinks and polka dots are two of my favorite things for summertime.

I am loving this leopard tee! It's such a cute way to bring leopard print into the summer months. The tee fits true to size. 

Dreaming of this lunch from last week! That BLT watermelon salad was amazing.

Ocean Isle Beach Weekend

Hey y'all! I hope your week is off to a great start! I am trying to reenter reality again, after two weekends in a row traveling. This past weekend, we road tripped to our favorite North Carolina beach, Ocean Isle! It's been our favorite beach for the past three years and I really wish we would have gone there sooner. It's such a great family friendly beach, without the crowds and chaos but there's still plenty to do and see. We love it so much!

W H E R E  W E  S T A Y  E D | When we visit Ocean Isle, we always stay at the Islander Inn. Ocean Isle is mostly houses so there really isn't a lot to choose from in terms of hotels. I found our accommodations via Expedia. I use Expedia to book all of my husband's business travel and most of our personal travel. I earn points by booking that can be cashed in to save on your trips. We stayed at The Islander Inn and we were very pleased there last few times we stayed here so we decided to book there again (this was actually our fourth time there). The hotel has an outdoor pool (with a poolside tiki bar and a great view of the ocean, which is perfect during the warmer months), indoor pool, and jacuzzi. They also offer a free breakfast and lots of coffee! Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for reasonable, clean accommodations that is located right on the beach. 

W H A T  W E  A T E | Basically, we spent our entire weekend relaxing and eating!

S U G A R S H A C K | This locally owned Jamaican restaurant is amazing. We have been here several times and it's some of the best food I have ever eaten. The ribs were the best I've ever had (and I typically don't even like ribs) and the coconut shrimp is amazing. This place does not disappoint!

C A U S E W A Y G O U R M E T | This is another one of our favorite places in Ocean Isle! You can eat in the restaurant, pick up food, or they will even deliver their amazing food to you, right on the beach! The salmon BLT was my favorite meal and the key lime pie is delicious (the graham cracked crust has chocolate chips in it) but really all of their desserts are super delicious! So good!

D R I F T  C O F F E E  A N D  K I T C H E N | Josh and I checked this place out back in November when we came for my birthday weekend and we loved it! We had to come back! We had caramel latte, an iced Americano, and a delicious acai bowl. We love the atmosphere too!

P R O V I S I O N C O M P A N Y| This isn't actually in Ocean Isle but fairly close by, in Holden Beach. We stopped on our way home for lunch and great views of the water. They have the best shrimp burgers and cucumber salad. Really, you can't go wrong with any of their food! It's also self-service drinks which are on the honor system. I think this is the only place I have ever been that allows you get your own drinks! One of our all time favorite places!

S U N S E T S L U S H | This isn't really a food place but it's our favorite treat while we are at the beach. We've had it before at other beaches and we always look forward to it. It's Italian ice and you can get it in their shop or they have carts that go up and down the beach. It's the perfect treat to enjoy while you are sitting on the beach! Plus, the customer service is always fantastic.

M A K A I B R E W I N G C O M P A N Y | When we travel, we always love to try out new breweries. This is a relatively new brewery (they have been open for about a year and a half). This as our second visit here and it was a great experience! Very kid friendly and so many unique beers.

R E D  H A R E  B R E W I N G | We also tried another new brewery on the way home. This isn't located in Ocean Isle but it's very close in nearby Shallotte, North Carolina. We loved the vibe of this brewery and the beers were great, too!

What We Did | We spent a majority of our trip either on the beach or in the pool or eating. The beach is gorgeous and it wasn't crowded while we were there. I could literally sit on the beach all day long. and never get tired of it. Ocean Isle also has a great playground for the little ones to play at as well. There's also a pier super close to our hotel that you can walk out on as well as a putt putt place for more fun. But like I said, relaxing on the beach is my personal favorite!
