Currently Loving

Happy FriYAY! I hope you've had a great week! Today, I'm rounding up what I'm currently loving. This is like my running personal wish list of what I've just added to my closet or what I'm thinking about adding to my closet. Which one of my picks is your favorite this week?!

1. Embroidered Tank | I just bought this tank over the weekend and I love it! It fits loosely and it's so comfortable! Sometimes these thin straps aren't flattering on me but the way this one fits is perfect. Plus it's super budget friendly!

2. Blush Adidas | I have been loving my rose gold Superstars so I was so excited to see that this style comes in pink! How cute are these?!

3. Boyfriend Shorts | Y'all, I have been desperately searching for a pair of distressed boyfriend shorts that aren't booty shorts! I mean, why is this so hard to find?! As a mom, I need at least a four inch inseam so that I don't feel like I'm pulling my shorts down all day long. This pair has great distressing and a four inch inseam. Wish me luck!

4. Backpack | I love being hands free when I'm shopping or running errands. I usually just carry a crossbody for these occasions but I'm loving this backpack option. I love the cognac and white together!

5. Striped Shirt | I'm currently loving all things Madewell and this short is no exception! I feel like this is a classic closet staple that I can wear for years.

6. Ruffled Shirt Dress | Abercombie has certainly made a comeback. I used to shop there as a teen (I loved the overwhelming smell back then, lol) but they have revamped their style and they have so many pieces that a mom in her thirties can wear! Woo hoo!

7. Hoop Earrings | Studded hoop earrings are my current favorite type of earrings to wear. I've always loved the look of hoops. I love this interlocking pair!

8. Sleeveless Boho Top | I also recently purchased this top because it was on super sale, I love the color, and the embroidered details are so pretty. I plan to style it with skinny jeans and wedges now then shorts and sandals during the summer.

Mauve Maxi

bohoblu, how to style a maxi dress, spring style, affordable fashion, style on a budget

Happy Thursday! This week, I took Olivia for her Kindergarten screening and it was definitely bittersweet. Why does my baby have to grow up?! When my oldest was heading to school, I didn't feel nearly as emotional about the transition for two reasons: she's always been little miss independent and I knew she wouldn't be my last child to send to school. Julianna is a leader and absolutely loves school! Olivia is sweet, silly, and sensitive. I'm just not ready to let her go but I know she'll do great and it will be nice to have the girls at the same school for the first time. As much as I love watching my children grow, it also makes me sad to see these childhood moments flying by way too fast. Motherhood is definitely an emotional roller coaster!

Today, I am styling this beyond comfortable mauve maxi from BohoBlu! Y'all. This dress seriously feels like wearing pajamas. It's that comfy, so soft, and it has pockets! I've chatted quite a few times about why I love skirts and dresses with pockets. I love having pockets for those nervous occasions when you just don't know what to do with your hands, lol! I styled the Brielle dress (aka the most perfect maxi dress) with neutral wedges, my Arabella mini tote bag, my favorite earrings, the Jessamyn bracelet, and the Fara choker in gold/natural to complete this boho comfortably chic look!

Thanks for stopping by! Have a good day!

Pretty In Peplum

gray monroe, spring style, floral peplum top, affordable fashion, style on a budget

Happy Wednesday! Y'all, it finally stopped raining! This is our first day of sunshine since Saturday and it makes me so happy. It dropped thirty degrees and has rained nonstop. So gloomy! My overall mood is much happier when the weather is in the 70s and sunny! I think that's just the perfect combination. On the bright side, our flowers and vegetable plants are doing great after all of the rain! Fresh tomatoes, cucumbers, and lettuce here we come... but I am not going lead you to believe that I have any sort of green thumb. My husband is definitely responsible! I'm not good at taking care of plants but at least I'm a good at taking care of my kids, lol!

Today, I'm styling this gorgeous Bryson top from Gray Monroe, one of my favorite places to shop online! I absolutely love peplum tops but to be honest, I can't always find ones that fit me the way I like them too. I like my peplums to be loose fitting and long enough (no crop tops for this mama). I also really love tops that are casual and comfortable enough for me to wear to work. This top is everything I have ever wanted in a peplum plus the fabric is seriously soft! The floral print and colors are gorgeous, too. I styled it with distressed denim, espadrille wedges, gold jewels, and a neutral satchel for the perfect spring weekend look. I feel so pretty in this peplum!

Thanks so much for visiting! Have a great day!

Stella & Dot For Spring

stella dot, jewelry, how to dress for spring, striped swing dress, style on a budget

Hey y'all! I hope your week is off to a great start! So far, so good here. I made it the YMCA yesterday for boot camp but I didn't have my Fit Bit. Last week, my oldest daughter broke my band (it was already coming apart) so I haven't worn it since Thursday. I have been way less motivated without it because I feel like my steps aren't counting, lol. It's so silly but true. I have to have motivation and that's exactly why I always take group exercise classes. I won't push myself alone.

Today, I'm styling this comfortable spring look featuring pretty jewels from my friend Lauren Ingold, a Stella & Dot stylist. Stella Dot jewels are not only gorgeous but such high quality for amazing prices. Gold statement earrings and a gold cuff are the perfect accessories to take a casual look up a notch. A cuff is my favorite type of bracelet to wear, especially during warm weather. I styled my Stella & Dot jewels with a striped swing dress, lace cardigan, flatform espadrilles, and a blush bag. I am loving this soft color palette for spring like I mentioned last week, a swing dress with a cardigan is my favorite look for this season!

I hope you all have a wonderful day! Thanks for visiting!

Pincord and Preppy

bohoblu, preppy style, how to style shorts for spring, mom style, seersucker shorts

Happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We finished off the girls' spring break by making a Target run so they could get Icees, momma could get a Starbucks, and we could all get out of the house after spending Friday morning deep cleaning the house. I also accomplished quite a few home projects over the weekend, went on a field trip to the zoo for work, and enjoyed time with my family.

Today, I'm sharing a preppy look featuring these adorable Ella Pincord Shorts from BohoBlu! I'm a Southern girl so I love pops of preppy in my outfits. These pleated pincord shorts are perfectly high waisted and come with a fun tie to complete the preppy look. I'm wearing a size small in these shorts and I typically wear a numeric size 4 in shorts. I styled them with a black tulip tee, denim jacket, neutral sandals, a dainty gold necklace, black tote bag, gold hoop earrings, big sunnies, and a cute beaded bracelet. I think this is the perfect spring weekend look for a farmers' market run or out to brunch with friends!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Have a great day, y'all!

Currently Loving

Happy Friday! I hope you have all had a wonderful week! Last Saturday, I cleaned out a ton of clothes from my closet and sold them at our yard sale. It felt so good to purge out some items that just didn't feel me quite like I wanted them to or just didn't match my current style. So what did I do this week? I did some shopping! I know that kind of defeats the purpose of purging but I carefully selected items that were good quality, reasonable prices, and would remain classics in my closet. I honestly try to avoid buying "trendy" items and if I do, I don't spend a ton of money on them.

Today, I'm sharing what I am currently loving which includes a couple of my recent purchases. Which of my picks is your favorite?

1. Jelly Sandals | Who else rocked jelly sandals as a kid?! Well, these are the grown up version and equally as cute as the ones we were back in the 90s.

2. Pom Pom Tank | I love basic pieces that are taken up a notch with a fun detail like these adorable pom pom on this tank. So cute.

3. Straw Tote | I love carrying a straw tote as my purse during the spring and summer month. The straw color is a great neutral and goes with any outfit! This one is only $35!

4. Striped Jumpsuit | I have been looking for a cropped leg jumpsuit and I think this is the one! It's super affordable and would look so good with neutral wedges.

5. Linen Shorts | I ordered these shorts yesterday for $11 and I can't wait to get them! The linen fabric and blush color are so perfect for spring.

6. Blush Bag | I have a thing for pink bags and I am loving this one! It can be worn as a shoulder bag or crossbody.

7. Pendant Necklace | This necklace is at the top of my jewelry wish list. How gorgeous is the stone?! It would add the perfect little pop of color to any outfit.

8. Embroidered Top | I am loving all things embroidered this season. This top is so feminine and pretty! I would style this top with distressed denim shorts and leather sandals.

Floral Kimono

floral kimono, bohoblu, spring style, how to dress for spring, boho chic style

Happy Thursday! I finally got motivated yesterday and got back into the gym after too many days off. My oldest daughter is too old to go to the childcare room so I had to bring her into my workout class. I was prepared with her tablet and other toys to keep her occupied during my 60 minute class. Well, my seven year old had other plans. She grabbed some equipment and did our entire workout routine! I was seriously impressed at how well she did. I wish I had her energy!

Today, I'm styling one of my current favorite outfit combinations: a swing dress and a kimono! I love pairing the shorter dress with the kimono because it provides coverage and modesty while remaining stylish and put together. This Solana floral duster kimono from BohoBlu is so perfect for springtime! I love the gorgeous colors in this floral print and I love how it looks paired with a black dress and neutral accessories like my Arabella mini toteJessamyn bracelet, Gabriella necklace, and Cearah earrings all from BohoBlu! For size reference, I'm wearing a small in the kimono and it fits slightly oversized.

I hope you have a great day! Thanks so much for stopping by!
