family: pumpkin patch

Fall is my favorite time of year and now that we have little ones, I try to plan as many fun, fall activities for them. Our weekends always tend to be busy with church and serving but we always make sure to spend time together as a family as well. Yesterday, we went to Millstone Creek Orchards. It's one of our favorite spots to enjoy fruit picking, hay rides, tire swings, and fresh goodies in the Apple Barn. We took the girls on a hayride to the pumpkin and gourd patches. They each got to pick their own pumpkin. We also picked out a family pumpkin to carve and Josh had to find the "ugliest pumpkin" to bring home because he was worried that it wouldn't ever get picked. He's thoughtful like that. We had a fun time on the hayride, enjoyed a apple cider slushie afterwards, picked up a jar of delicious pumpkin butter, and then the girls got to swing in the sunshine. It was such a fun family outing that will be a family tradition from now on.

I hope you are all having a fun, fall weekend!
